Boy defends home from PS3 robbers with katana

A Florida ~~man~~ boy protected his sister and home from burglars who were after his PS3. The criminals broke into the home of Damian Fernandez while he and his 15-year-old sister were home alone. While one thief was in his sister's room, Damian jumped off his bunk bed and grabbed his sword, and as he puts it, "I just waited for him." Then, like a ninja, he sprang from the shadows and stabbed the guy in the chest!

The robber ran and was found later by police hiding behind a neighbor's palm tree ... 'cause its Florida. The second nefarious thief skipped town (or just got away, one or the other). Although, we have to say that Delio Fernandez, the two children's father, took the words right out of our mouth when he said, "If [the robber] would have had a gun, I could have lost one of my children." Yeah, the daughter, cause your son's got mad ninja skills!

I like how people are defending the rights of two burglars willing the rob sleeping children. Does anybody even fathom what might have happened if they didn't get what they were looking for?

These guys weren't robbing a back, a corporation, the USA mint, they went after Children. Maybe if more people stood up to scum like this criminals wouldn't have the frame of mind they do. I don't say what the kid did was right, but his frame of mine was to protect his family and his life.

What the kid did was completely legit. No one here truely knows what actually took place and if the robber was after more than just a PS3. There are only a few actions you can take when faced with such a situation. You could flee, kill him, knock him out, or just confront him to leave (yeah, that'll work).
Personally I have a germanshepard that's been through K-9 police training, trained to attack upon command (can even tell whether to go for the throat or arm).
Anyways that kid was in his right mind since his sister was in danger. If it was just him it would've been different. If you need to defend someone you do it with the whatevers closest. But it comes right down to whatever the very first choice you make is, and you have no time to think about it.
