Guitars work on ps3 now, except for the whammy bar. I'm sure they'll fix that soon too though.

"What I Like About You"??? Jesus, I am so tired of hearing that song for like the last 10 years in beer/automobile ads. I swear, I will play that once to beat it on Normal (I'm not very good) and I will NEVER play that track again.

Where's my Depeche Mode? :(

Okay, okay... they started using guitars more in the 90's, but they would've been nice.

BenjaminBreeg,

I agree. Maiden have a ton of tracks that would be better for GH, but Wrathchild is still a stellar track. I wonder how few people realize your name is from their newest album? When I say Maiden most people think they died in the 80s - I'm like, they just released an album 9 months ago!

YES I AM THE WARRIOR!! AND VICTORY IS MIIII-E-IIIINNNNEEE!!

Love that song. This is a must grab. And it's not as made famous by. So stoked.

Loved it ever since I got this NBA Superstars VHS that had Charles Barkley highlights set to it. Peep it here on youtube. Not sure why it works, but it does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ospDD4fXeYE

Way to fuck over the 360 owners again. First, ridiculous prices for D/L content (as well as not even releasing the whole first game for D/L). Now, no 80's edition. Assholes. Not to mention that the 360 version of GHII cost 10 bones more......

Iron Maiden: It's about damn time! I wish they'd have chosen a better song though, like 22 Acacia Avenue or even Number of the Beast.

White Lion's "Radar Love": Meh, I'd have MUCH preferred "When The Children Cry"

"No One Like You": Excellent, I can't wait for the nights with you. ;)

I'm sure a lot of the people here will hate me for saying this, but it could still use more Hair Metal and New Wave (The 80's had New Wave, NOT "synth-pop". Synth-pop is a crappy modern attempt at emulating New Wave that falls flat on it's face more often than not. So gen-Y'ers: learn your "cheese history" ;))

I do second all the rallying cries for The Smiths and The Cars though.

For all of you wondering why this game might be missing some serious pillars of 80s rock, you have to keep in mind the fact that the record labels are a bunch of damn vampires that hold the rights to a lot of classic songs, not the musicians. Purchasing the rights to some songs from these vultures would just end up being way too expensive. Its really a tragedy and a stifling of an artform IMO and you have those bastards at the RIAA to thank for it.

Also:
"too bad the PS3 owners that sold their PS2s will miss out since the guitars don't work."

LOL.

Talkin' to you... is like clappin with one hand (what is it??) CAUGHT IN A MOSH!!! \m/\m/

...and Wrathchild made the cut (oh man, I'm gonna volunteer for player 2 duties and rip it up like Steve Harris!!!)

..."There goes the last chance of Golden Earring being in Guitar Hero III."

Dude, you're forgettin' other great songs like Twilight Zone & Kill Me (Ce Soir) ... that band's been touring longer than the Stones and have a really impressive resume... NOT a one song band.

No One Like You was their 1st #1 hit, came out before Hurricane, and had better solos... anything else you need to know?
