Raiden IV port could hit the Dreamcast
The developer of the Raiden series of arcade shooters, Moss, recently posted a poll that suggests the console that's died a dozen deaths may not be out of life just yet. The "Which system should Raiden IV be ported to?" section features the usual suspects -- PS2, Nintendo DS, Wii, Xbox 360, etc. -- but curiously the Dreamcast is also an option. Sega officially killed the console a few months ago, but it seems the Dreamcast just won't go away. The system has been a sanctuary for Japanese shmups even after production halted, so perhaps our grandchildren will enjoy Raiden IX on an antique jury rigged Dreamcast someday.[Via insert credit]

Man everytime I think of Dreamcast I think of Shenmue and remember that I'm still angry and that I want my sequel.
StrangeBum @ Jun 12th 2007 4:07PM
@Almack64
I'm pretty sure that there was a sequel on the Xbox. Not as great as the first game, but still. If you you really want that sequel..eBay my friend..eBay.

Nesagwa @ Jun 12th 2007 4:32PM
Um, Jury Rigged?
Thats about as bad as saying intensive purposes.
Darkfox76 @ Jun 12th 2007 4:35PM
For those who don't know, you can get Raiden III for the PS2 now! For about $20, that is. I got it at Wal-Mart and it a blast to re-play that game.
I'm hopping they will release it for the PS2.
Jonathan Tran @ Jun 12th 2007 4:40PM
If they want to make any money they shoudl release it for PS2 or Wii, though DS would be nice for the vertical screen setup

No, it's proper use. Before you nit-pick, be prepared to be nit-picked back.

the dreamcast is more popular than the xbox in japan
Dr. Able @ Jun 12th 2007 5:41PM
It seems that the Dreamcast has more lives than a virtual cat. I'll take a close look at the above title. I'm glad the system is still getting supported by some game programmers. Long live the Dreamcast, the only system that I EVAR camped out for (for about an hour though) to obtain one of those next gen systems and a copy of Soul Calibur II, when it dropped that midnight on 9.9.1999.
Vexorg @ Jun 12th 2007 7:43PM
I'd settle for getting the Raiden Fighters games on XBLA. I actually own arcade boards for Raiden DX, and Raiden Fighters 1 and 2.

well, it wasn't precisely mine, it was a freinds', but it was more than a year in my house and i miss him so much =(
anybody sells a dreamcast in mexicow de las tunas???
Almack64 @ Jun 13th 2007 1:04PM
@ Strrangebum and Sega
I'm speaking of the completion of the Shenmue Saga (ie, Shenmue 3 and maybe 4) At the end of Shenmue 2 you just finally figure out why the series is called Shenmue. They never finished telling the story. The sadest is part is the whole story line is supposedly already written. I would even be happy if they released the completed story as a graphical novel ore something. It was just too good of a story line to leave as a cliffhanger.
Dillon @ Jun 26th 2007 7:16PM
Dreamcast FTW! I still have an unopened one.
