"Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean a death knell for GTA IV PS3 content, perhaps it was unintentionally omitted or maybe the content wont come to Sony's box until late 2008. Either way, this is still pretty muddy"

Why even post something like this? While I own both systems, I hate stories that are nothing but flame ammunition for retards.

Maybe the episodic content already fit on the BD? Or maybe the PS3 just isn't getting it? Or maybe they have a timed exclusive? Or maybe they just made a mistake and forgot to put it on the list?

So many maybes... LOOK OUT! THEY STING!

Wierd, considering it would be more financially viable to make the downloadable content PS3 exclusive

Every PS3 is sold with an HDD, although its only the idiotic Core SKU that sets the 360 off

Didn't Microsoft and Rockstar already announce exclusive downloadable content on the 360? Maybe I missed the showing where Peter Moore tries to scour his tattoo off with a brillo pad while Rockstar games did their best W impression. "Now extusive.... that's there's an interesting word. We'll stand down in PS3 as soon as PS3 can stand up."

No downloadable content has ever been announced for the PS3 version, only the 360 version.

You need a lesson in common sense. There are ~11M 360s in the market or more. There are under 4M PS3s in the market. Almost anyone that cares enough to buy downloadable content for GTA4 is likely informed enough to have not bought the Core 360, or to have later acquired a HDD upgrade for it. So, if you boil it down, they're either on even footing, or the 360 has the advantage, since it has a larger install base.

PS3 comes with a BluRay drive. If there were to be exclusive content, Sony would likely encourage Rockstar to put it on the disc, thus showing off the value of having discs that hold >8.14GB.

a.j.: confused as to why that statement is flame ammunition (fuel?) or 'retards'? Seems pretty reasonable, perhaps even *gasp* even-handed.

Tom: Yeah!!!! I heard Lucas was planning a Star Wars TV show, why not just put that content in the last movie, George?!?! =)

sheppy: correct, but there were reports (linked) that Rockstar was working on episodes for the PS3 as well, and the Xbox 360 annc. didn't necessarily mean that the Xbox 360 would be exclusively getting episodic content or if the episodic content it did get would be exclusive. I'm confused now.

That looks like a screenshot straight out of Doom 3.

When will we get proper selfshadowing on objects in games? Never?

@LS2/LS7?,

That doesn't make any sense at all. Which do you think sounds better to Sony? A - "showing the value" of BluRay's storage capacity. - or - B - "showing the value" of the playstation network/lining their pockets with some extra lira? Before you answer, keep in mind that Sony's a publicly traded company which means that they're answerable to stockholders, and stockholders like money. They like it more than passing up a great opportunity to make money in favor of "showing the value," of THAT I can assure you.

So, in the case of Live, you get to pay more for the content once you've paid for the service? Not saying that Sony won't charge for downloadable content just like MS does, just pointing out that you are already paying with one of them...

Well, they can't seem to get additional Oblivion content to PS3 owners, so I'm not too surprised about this...

It looks like downloadable content is exclusive to 360 according to this website...

http://www.gametab.com/news/937316/

It says a rep from take 2 confirmed it was exclusive.
