GameTap expanding free play to 40 titles by month's end

GameTap just let us know that near the end of this month they'll be moving up their free play service from 30 games (which currently has Tomb Raider: Legend) to 40 games. They also have the Lara Croft animated series going on beginning in July and hopefully full Mac support by the end of summer.As for their regular subscription service, they added five new games today:
- Psychonauts
- King of Fighters 97
- Golden Axe: The Duel
- Art of Fighting 3
- Metal Slug 3

Raz will get another game if Tim Schafer pulls a Prince of Persia and makes him into a disgruntled angry badass that makes blood spew from all his victims. PSCYHONAUTS: THE PSYCHO WITHIN. Sells 10X the copies of the first game, but still sucks.

Whoops, I don't want to give the impression that the 1st game sucked. Psychonauts was easily one of the Top 5 games of the last gen IMO.

psychonauts is proof that 'hardcore gamers' dont mean squat. because anyone that really considers themself a gamer owns psychonauts. possibly even multiple copies of psychonauts.

Psychonauts is great, but it's not t3h b3st gam evar guys. I'm playing through it right now. It's hillarious, but never the best game ever.

It'd be nice if SOMEWHERE within this story was a link to gametap.. maybe even the link thats embedded in the word Gametap would be appropriate, as I don't think 5 links within joystiq is at all necessary.

I started Psychonauts, and thought it was pretty interesting, but the only thing that particularly impressed me was the humor. I stopped playing though because the PC version had a time delay between pressing the button and the action being performed when playing on my PC, which annoyed me to no end.
I picked up the PS2 version on clearance though and plan to give it a go eventually.

I love reading the bulletin boards after each little game situation changes. It's amazing the amount of great writing that goes into just one bulletin board segment -- more good writing than you'll find in the entirety of many games.
