Phantom Hourglass site opens, new videos inside
With less than two weeks before its Japanese release, Nintendo has opened the official website for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Treasures hidden within include several new videos that show off basic gameplay and Link's touchscreen control. To promote laziness (and so you don't have to sludge through squiggly Japanese menu screens) we've embedded the videos below. For an extra dose of Zelda fun, try playing all three at the same time!

That gameplay looks fun, but I wonder if they're cutting out all button interfaces? I can handle the touchscreen, but there's something to be said for the traditional D-pad and button scheme.

what sucks is that the stylus that is shown is superimposed on there, it's not the real deal :(

not being able to use the d-pad seems really restrictive. I am used to being able to do multiple movements at once in zelda games, and having just one point of control is REALLY unappealing.

I too hope we can play pretty much with the dpad most of the time. Stylii just get in the way as your hand and the stylus itself covers the screen.
