BlizzCon sold out, let the scalping begin

I still find it hard to believe that people are still playing WoW on a regular basis.. That game was stale way before the expansion came out..

I played (and raided) WoW for nearly 3 years (Beta to TBC), so I can say with some authority that it's stale. Same shit over and over and over again. The lore is shoehorned in (lol aliens?), and the encounters are mashups of shit that has already been done over and over again with a tiny bit of uniqueness sprinkled on top.

So yeah, go put on your Murloc suit and head to Blizzcon. I'm sure you'll get to see all of the new and inventive things that will be coming up in future WoW patches. "Tier 3952, NOW WITH EVEN BIGGER SHOULDERPADS AND MORE GLOWY-NESS!!"

Guys, all I did was speak my opinion. Don't attack me because you're latching on to a concept that has run it's course. Seriously, next time you're hopping around the bank roof in Orgrimmar (or wherever) bored out of your fucking mind, remind yourself that this game isn't stale and you're definitely getting your $15/month worth. Regarding the 'fanboy' comment, I say a word against WoW, and a fanboy comes to the rescue. What word would you prefer? Zealot? Idiot? Take your pick, it's all the same to me..

They aren't sending passes in the mail. Also, you need the purchasing credit card with you to pick up your Blizzcon passes, so I don't think scalping will really work.

Not that WOW isn't stale but nothing is more annoying the this sudden gaming hypocrisy that is going around. What makes you think it is ok to insult one people's brand of gaming over another. Mindless hate for WOW makes no sense, if the game was bad for you fine but every time a WoW post comes up we see random blizzard hate, as if consoles games are constantly new and changing every minute.

Here are some concepts that have run their course. Halo this third game basically is grabbing ideas for every damn game out there, Final fantasy, the girly man thing must end. Devil may Oh! Crap that is just Dante with a different coat on don't get excited Cry.

Thats the thing.. you're putting words into my mouth. When did I say I hated blizzard? I seem to recall typing "I played WoW for 3 years". That's a big step or two a way from hating Blizzard. And the other games you mentioned are stale as shit too and I don't play them either.

My point is, Blizzard has no reason to innovate because the drones that keep paying will eat whatever shit they're shoveled. Same with Halo players, FF players, etc. Blizzard made a truly awesome game.. but it's old and crusty now. Instead of working on the next expansion pack full of "Tier ___ armor with glowy shoulderpads that look like mountains", they should just let WoW run it's course as is (with continued support and minor patching obviously), and get to work on something new and innovative.

You seriously need to re-read all of these comments, because you obviously don't understand the situation. I don't hate Blizzard (or even WoW).. I hate the idiots who insist that WoW is still the most exciting game on the planet and the entire reason they wake up in the morning (See: Fanboys). I was a big WoW fanboy for a long time. Now I am bord with it. Sorry but affter doing all the raiding its all the same thing over and over. Im happy to sit around with a cold one playing my jimmy Buffett cds now.

I played WoW from beta until about 8 months ago. Man, I don't know what I was thinkin'.

Why did I waste SO much time on that lame game? The game does not change. A lot of MMO's try to change things up and introduce things... But WoW... You have to end up having the PLAYERS try to change things up. Like training that crazy elite mob into the cities.

And don't tell me that floating necropolis counts. Because it doesn't.

Anyway. The game's lame... and people are still wasting their lives on there. Nothing new here though.

By lame, I mean stale... There's nothing changing. Once you hit 60-70... There's nothing left for you to do, except raid. Which is probably worse than grinding in my opinion.

I've never had much interest in WoW. Still haven't played it to this day. And I'm perfectly happy with that.

But back on track: Possibility of a Diablo III announcement. If there really is a God, he will let this happen for me.

I have no beef with anybody calling the game stale, Truth be told, it is. You have to be blind not to see that, my problem only exist with random bashing. This thread doesn't demand an opinion of wow's content state, matter of fact there is a whole other thread about that. The topic was blizz con ticket availability.

So that means while some of you enjoyed or didn't enjoy wow, no matter what Joystiq post you will come in here and state "WOW Blows, boring, repetitive, and it stinks" yet the topic is how wow has effected gender roles with in our society. This is why people comment back, it is like the gaming community never heard the phrase "there is a time and place for everything".

The sad part is if you wanted to comment on how wow sucks why not even do it inventively or take the topic into consideration. Joystiq prints "Blizz con sold out." you think "Hmm but WOW the game is stale". Then why not say "The only reason blizz con has sold out is because of angry wow fans fed up of a lack luster mediocre gaming experience, now looking to raz the developers when they get a chance". That would make sense, that could actually happen, and it stays on the actual topic while still thread jacking it towards wow's repetitive nature.

Instead when you run into a thread and start yelling I think X sucks, for Y reason not stating how it fits the topic, well you are going to look like a troll and be either ignored or flamed. But then again that is just my opinion also, I could be wrong.

P.S. Diablo III will not happen all the original developers went to Hells Gate London. And we have already seen how good blizzard is with replacing old talent that made their games with new ones

Yea it is sad, but face it blizzard doesn't hire good talent, you seen World of warcraft. Do you really want them to rape Diablo of all Goodness? They take the fun out of everything, just hope for StarCraft II. And Wait for Hells Gate London, That is what I am waiting for.

@15: So basically you agree with me, but you're arguing anyway. This is about Blizzcon selling out, yes.. WHY did it sell out? Because people want their flavor-of-the-year murloc pets or whatever Blizzard is handing out to people for showing up this year. So my point is still relevant. Not to mention, what do you think is more likely: an announcement for Diablo III, or yet another WoW patch or expansion? My money is on the latter.

The game is so boring I can't imagine them making an expansion, it is obvious between the boring rep grinds. The idiotic nerfing, and the uninspired raid dungeons, they they can't even begin to contemplate an expansion.

But they will for the pure fact that most wow fans are suckers, and really believe blizzard is not ringing their pocket book out to dry with thinned out time sinked to death content. But who is their competition? Nobody so they will do another expansion because of lack or Warhammer and Age of Conan right now.

Diablo III while a good dream won't happen because they know it will be an embarrassment. And why try and making something innovative and new when you got a cash cow right in front of you waiting to be milked, with no competition from anybody.
