The argument that there's no link between video games and violence may be a little harder to convince parents of later this month. Just try telling mom and dad that every thing's cool on June 27 when their toddler points the Wii sawed-off shotgun in their face and asks them (with an adorable speech impediment) if they feel "wucky."
Joking aside, we're interested to see how the attachment, advertised in the latest GameStop online newsletter, actually works. The $20 blaster's
not actually made by Nintendo, so we're hopeful that the answer, if not "really well," will at least be "not horribly." But don't worry, you can use it to play
Duck Hunt! ... You know,
when it comes out.

As for an official Nintendo zapper, maybe one will be announced at E3.

Don't be jealous because your PS3 controller can't do this. :)
No one expects it to be a light gun... duh.

Anyhoo... $20 is too much for that cheap, plastic add-on. It does nothing but works as a cradle for your existing Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

Why hasn't Nintendo come out with this so that game developers can start making games tailored to it? Why is Nintendo being silent on this issue?

if so, mission accomplished.

Actually I'm willing to bet you that any casual who buys this IS expecting to get something like a light gun. The moment they get home and this thing is way off target I expect some frowns.
Accompanied by bitching on forums. =)

Why would it already be out in Canada? Especially when Core Gamer (the developer and publisher of the Wii Blaster) is based in America. You either got it because your store broke street date or you're a liar. Most likely trying to make Canada seem better. Well, it's not. Just look at you Canadian Eb games website, it sucks. And you think hockey is the best thing in the world. Also, maple syrup isn't that great.
(Note: I don't hate Canadians, I just hate the ones who think they are better than the U.S. Even though we all know Japan is the best country. )
