I had the same thoughts...then I found this:

http://www.toybender.com/wtf-happened-to-joyride-studios/

Kind of a bummer, but I'd say the license is in much more capable hands now. :)

While that Master Chief prototype looks seriously kick-ass, I'm upset that they're making the figures five inches in height, so that they'll no longer match my collection of the Joyride seven-inch figures.

:(

Heck Yeah!!! In Mcfarlane we trust, maybe smaller but a lot of more detail!

Light-up Cortana is going on my desk :)

If only I tell her to open programs on my PC ...

"Cortana, open Firefox, Trillian, and Audacity. Oh, and a little Debussy, please."

They make the highest quality toys around, i have been hoping they would go to them. Joyride toys are so cheap and crappy.

McFarlane makes good detailed figurines, but terrible poseable action figures. Oh well, I still have some Joyride toys, and I'll probably pick up a H3 Master Chief. Thanks for the link TMD, I was quite shocked when I tried looking up Joyride Studios and finding completely different stuff.

Wait, the figures are to scale with each other, but the vehicles are not? Seeing the vehicles as 3" compared to 5" Master Chief.

Another sucky toy line. Make the figures GIJOE (the new smaller ones) and STAR WARS sized, and you're guaranteed continual sell-out.

Don't give the license to someone who's going to make them just for "don't take it out of the packaging!" collectors.

Very disappointed in this announcement. It would have been better had Hasbro gotten the line; at least we'd get a full run of figures, characters, and vehicles -- at the "industry standard" 3 3/4" or thereabouts, we could probably have gotten a Pelican out of the line as well.
