It might be my imagination, but it reminded me of fire emblem...
Then again, I love this kind of games, so I would be tempted to try it out.
Mike @ Jun 18th 2007 3:01PM
Try $5 and I'll consider it MS. >sigh<
sheppy @ Jun 18th 2007 3:04PM
Mike, your post reminded me of Cagcast 79. Where Wombat says "I never thought we would see a day and age where $10 for a game seems too expensive, but congrats guys! You did it!"
Joe Smith @ Jun 18th 2007 3:30PM
Wow, $10, ooooo -- how am I going to eat AND get this game???
Jeez, you'd think they were charging $100 or something. Let's see, for $10 I could buy 2/3 of a CD, or half a DVD, or 3 Lattes, or lunch.
Somehow, I think that I can swing $10 for a cool fun game from a small indie developer without having to make my kids go hungry.

What is that song in the game? I want it!
cool8man @ Jun 18th 2007 3:50PM
First people complain that there aren't enough games being released for Xbox Live Arcade, then when there are plenty of games released people complain that the games cost too much. It is impossible to please everyone. I think if you've made a brand new game charging $10 is reasonable. Charging $5 for old emulated arcade games is what seems unreasonable to me.

@6
I agree to a degree I have no issues with new games being $10. These games don't make themselves... and the devs need a cut after MS takes their fees.
BUT I also think $5 for old re-done classics is fair as well. On XBLA these games have had enhancements... updates graphics (original available too), leaderboards, achievments, and most have online play. $5 seems fair to me. The people charging to much are Nintendo. They just drop ROM on emulators with zero enhancements and charge you $5+ for them.

@ Pricing
I think $10 is VERY reasonable. A game like this is easily worth $15, but nobody would buy it like that. Have you seen the features on this? Look on the left hand side of the Xbox.com game page to check out all it supports. There are 50 levels!! User created content!!!
@ BC
I think the song is from the game! Great stuff.
MikeG @ Jun 18th 2007 6:42PM
I agree with others on the pricing of XBLA games. $10 is VERY cheap considering what you're getting. I don't think you can expect developers to go much cheaper than that and still maintain quality.

Damn, that looks awesome. Can't wait, I've been wanting some good turn based strategy since I've lost my copy of FFT. :(
