If ace combat was actually a sim, I could understand this..

Ace isn't close enough to a real sim to warrant that kind of price tag.

Only Halo 3 could get away with that high of a price tag hehe, and it would get away with it too because it will be the greatest game ever in my opinion.

This game, I'm not so sure...

Then again, unless you're sitting fifty feet away from the TV, you won't be moving a lot using a joystick set like those, so wires shouldn't really be an issue.

Also, they made a very similar limited run package for Ace Combat 5 on PS2. All based on the Saitek X52 joysticks... which are a reference on PC flight sims. So for the Ace Combat fanatics, that's quite a nice package.

But personally, I agree with #1, Ace Combat ain't a sim, and it plays just damn well with a controller.

This joystick looks awesome. Too bad they did not get Microsoft to produce the joystick so they could make it wireless, and universal among other flight based games.

As it stands now, this joystick will be no different than the $200 Steel Battalion controller for the original Xbox that was only supported by two games. Unique joysticks that are third-party only become hard to garner support in games by other developers.

The only game worth spending $150 on is Guitar Hero II ($90 plus $60 for a second guitar).

Looks pretty cool. If it would work for Crimson Skies 2 that would be an added bonus.

Definitely too much money for the bundle although the Ace Combat 6 game by itself will be a must buy for me. I don't know how I'm going to find enough time to play all these awesome games coming out.

Not a bad price for the combo IF there were other flight sims - or at least games- out there. But there aren't. (Over-G notwithstanding.) Pass.

Since they're wired they're usb... If this works with PC flight sims it may just be kinda, sorta worth it. So will they work in PC's?

1) Does it work with a Windows PC?
2) How many XBOX360 games will it work with?
3) How good is AC6 going to be? Has it been reviewed?

$100, yes.
$115, maybe.
$150, most likely not.

I really think this looks like a cool controller, but I don't want to spend $150 for anything like that.

How about they forget about the faceplate, which would lower the price by $20 to $130.

If the controller and game sold for a package deal of $89.99 like Guitar Hero 2 for the Xbox 360 did, I would be interested in this...but right now, for a price that high, no way.

I'll wait for it to hit the bargain bin ... and even then, only if it is usable with other games.

I doubt there'll be a run on this stick early.

The $150 bundle for Ace Combat has been in GameStop's reserve book for at least a month and a half..

Wires?

No thanks. And double no thanks @ 150.

Are you guys f'in nuts? I thought the idea was to expand the gaming market, to get more people playing.

Seems like making everything more expensive is the wrong way to go. $500 consoles, $60 games, & $100+ accesories? Who do you think is going to buy this crap?

Especially with the 3000 must-buy games all hitting the 360 within three months of each other, who's gonna have the cash for this?

My guess is that we're gonna see some huge "Beyond Good & Evil" style disasters this holiday season. Too many games, not enough gamers to support them. I bet this is the biggest holiday season yet for gross video game sales revenue, but that a bunch of studios are gonna fall on hard times when their equally solid games don't perform due to an overcrowded release schedule.

I really hope some stuff gets delayed till spring... too many awesome looking games out there. Way too many to be picking up a gimmicky controller, anyway...

That stick looks like 50-70 dollars well spent, tops. Even at that price I'd see it only selling to the hardcore few, but how many games will it support?

Ummm...since when is 150 dollars alot of money in America? You guys must be po! I find worthy titles of purchase to be far and few between these days, so putting up the extra cash for an excellent title, to me, is a no brainer. This game is brilliant, and that is my conclusion of a DEMO. I plunked 50 bucks down TODAY on the flight bundle at game stop. Don't care what it costs, and #10, there's no way guitar hero can be compared to this game. GH is a little boy wanna be rocker game so they can feel like they actually play a guitar and are making music. I play guitar, and GH is NOTHING LIKE PLAYING a real instrument.

And the fact that the flight stick is wired is really not a negative, what are you going to do, run around while your playing?
