What's that thing under the Guide Button? I could see the D-pad, and what I believe to be the 5 way switch. So what's that?

Also, any word on the noise levels produced when using this thing. Would be nice if you could just feel the click without hearing it... Also, they seemed to have ditched that little line on the middle fret. Thank god!

@bing
you're an idiot
@Matt
I'm not left handed, but I always hope they make a small number of left handed guitar. It's easy enough to just poll everyone who signs up for some kind of newsletter on their website...

There will never be a lefty model because this CAN be a lefty model already. look closely and you'll see that at the bottom there are colors too, meaning one could just swing the guitar the other way around a "strum" to their hearts content.

"The newsletter also reveals that players will have many distortion options including, "reverb, flange, wah, delay and more.""

I love that. Reverb, flange, wah and delay being classed as distortions... One is a modulation (flange), two have their own categories (reverb and delay) and wah is a foot controlled modulation, but usually given it's own category.

If they replaced the word "distortions" with "effects" it might work.

Are you sure these guys really play these instruments? :P

Having said this, i will be buying it :)

Any word on this actually being a WIRELESS setup?

MDB, only official microsoft products (none that are co-branded) can use the wireless connection for controllers.

So... no.

That controller looks really nice. Based on what I've seen and read so far, I'm pretty sure this game is going to own my life.

Ah sorry, i worded that badly. I know you didn't say it there, but in some of the interviews they did around the releases of of the earlier games, they said that most of the staff were musicians. I assumed you were quoting from a press release.

This cannot just "flip over" and become a left-handed guitar. i have mastered guitar hero 2 and the biggest problem is the bar slowly falling down due to repeated use and getting directly under my hand as i am trying to strum. the bar get loose after you play too much, and now i have to move it completely out of the way and not use it at all. it became a distraction. they need to make a lefty guitar. almost half of "real" guitar players are left handed. give us some credit.
