Blogging through every Legend of Zelda
Ever wanted to read a novelization of the Legend of Zelda series? No? Well, we've got one for you, anyways.
A blogger known as Grownup Gamer has begun a project where he will be writing extensively about every game in the Legend of Zelda series in chronological order. We can't emphasize the word "extensive" enough -- each entry is extremely detailed, but Blogging Zelda fortunately is well-written enough to be an interesting read.
Grownup Gamer has actually been blogging since the end of May, spending just under two weeks to complete the first and second quests in the original NES Zelda. He is currently mowing through Zelda II: The Adventures of Link. Fifteen titles in all have been planned for completion, including the yet-to-be-released Phantom Hourglass.

I take it they mean chronological order of release dates, not story line?
Story line would be so much better.
The plot line would become very predictable though.
"...and it turned out to be Ganon after all!"
*mock surprise*
Still, I'd read it.

The problem is nobody knows the story line to the games over all. Actually I don't think Shiggy or anyone else at Nintendo even said there was a particular order to the story.

I remeber Gametrailer.com shwoing a pretty good guide to what games came in what order. It was on Joystiq earlier this year.
Hopefully someonelater in this post will post the link.
Or you can search for yourself here:

Yeah, it's called the "Zelda Retrospective" and it's a massive documentary that chronicles pretty much every Zelda game.

I do admire your courage, sir. To come out on a blog of all things. Very different. I hope your happier with yourself now.
Tom
Thanx.

Those retrospective videos are radical.
Concerning the timeline, Miyamoto said he has a master document explaining everything, but I'm pretty sure he's just jerking our collective internet chain.
samfish @ Jun 19th 2007 9:22AM
Twilight Princess kinda blew that retrospective back to Hell, though.

I'm really enjoying this. There's a guy that did it for Ultima as well: bloggingultima.blogspot.com . I like the writing style, it's a neat approach.

Wow, where'd you find that pic? I want that DS.
Adam Welsh @ Jun 19th 2007 7:13PM
It's "The Adventure (singular) of Link" not "Adventures" (plural).
Yes, I'm a nit picker.

Clearly you have bad taste!
