C&C 3 multiplayer maps ready for download

Ready for download off the Marketplace is some new Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars content including a free multiplayer map. Available for 500 Microsoft points is Map Pack 1 which consists of five new maps including Black's Bigger Battle, Tiber River Valley, Frontier Fracas, Tiberium Gardens III, and Tournament Desert Redux. And, as promised, there is a separate free map download available called Ground Zero, which is set on a meteor impact site and is perfect for 1v1 battles. New maps, oh the joy!

I remember a time when content was free, maps especially - I suppose if one company starts doing it the others will follow.

Is this content free for the PC version? I got CnC3 for PC instead of 360 because of this, and it will probably also influence my choice of platform for HL2 Orange Box (TF2), even though Valve swears they'll make all 360 maps free -- they can't supply user-created maps, so PC it is. I love the idea of a "standardized" platform like the 360, but I don't like how "standardized" so often implies "closed".
