The only problem with Advent Rising was that they over-reached. They tried to create a huge epic as the first game they ever made. Not smart. The story was actually pretty good and there were moments in the game where you could see what they were trying to do -- and if the whole game had achieved that level it would have been a classic. As it is, you can learn a lot from a failure -- especially if it was a failure in the cause of trying to create something great. Better to try to excel and fail than to just make the same crap everyone else is churning out.

Wow. This news guy writes this update as if Advent Rising killed his dog or something...way to to turn a perfectly simple license announcement into an attack on a young developer. Undertow looks awesome and I hope these guys go on to do huge things...if for no other reason than to silence some of these writers. Come on, man!! Smile!

I really enjoyed the PC version of advent rising :(
Having to decide who lives or dies between your brother and your wife, and that decision having an impact on the entire game to some degree afterwards? Maybe it's just me who thought carrying my brother on my shoulder through a space station under attack was emotionally fullfilling in a way games usually are not.

If the Xbox controls had been better I think people would have given AR more of a chance.. at least the PC version has much better controls..

I wish they would do advent rising 2 :( The universe that was created was really interesting to me.
