Is there a website where you can even buy AO games? I really haven't seen any and didn't even know the rating existed till recently. And are retailers not allowed to carry the game or they don't want to carry AO games. I really don't see why they can't keep that game and any other AO games behind the counter. They can simply just not display them.

Many large chain retailers have basically declared that they won't carry NC-17 films or AO games. But sites like Amazon and such will carry it.

I think that an AO is not an inappropriate rating, but the industry needs to get a grip on what M (17+) and AO (18+) means and how to logically differentiate them.

I'm with txa1265.

From the previews I've read, AO *is* an appropriate rating. The problem is with stores that won't carry AO titles, which makes that rating the kiss of death.

@#4 It did, a lot of trouble, they had to delay it to get it a lower ratin from what I remember, and several countries (including my own, New Zealand) still banned it.

Yup. Guys Sony and Nintendo could effectively get this title banned, it may have to be modified or the rating appealed as sony and nintendo do not allow AO rated games. Its official, the release date may also be altered, Sony and Nintendo have expressed ther opinion on the game and it doesnt look to bright.
Lets just hope it doesnt get banned, i really want to play this game!

AO is 18+
M is 17+
I really don't see why Sony and Nintendo are getting their knickers in a twist over it. Both of their consoles already have many violent M rated games anyway. Why was it given an AO rating? I thought that was only for porno? Is there really that much difference between the impressionability of a 17 year old and a 18 year old?
