Duke Nukem Forever pic sighted in Game Informer
Remember when we said another Duke Nukem Forever image prior to summer's end would indicate an "imminent apocalypse?" Time to prepare your shelters because 3D Realms threw in a new picture of DNF in the latest issue of Game Informer alongside the unveiling of Earth No More. The picture itself is rather non-revealing -- even more so than the previous two pictures of Duke and a Pork Nemesis. Over at the DNF forums, 3DR staffer Joe Siegler said that he cannot post a higher-resolution image online but agreed to the suggestion that the screenshot's inclusion in the magazine might get more people to read about Earth No More. Sneaky tactic, indeed -- at least Duke is being used somehow.
Just a reminder, we are now in the year 10 A.D. ("After Duke"), a decade since the unveiling of DNF.

I am looking at the mag, and the best I can describe it is as - a view looking up inside a large room, with a giant mutant squid/porcupine shooting lightning out of its ass
This photo is awful, and the one in the mag isn't much better. It says in the mag: "This is the largest 3D Realms would allow the screens to appear in print." The pic is about 1.5" x 2"
it's so laughable.. why do they drag it on??

"it's so laughable.. why do they drag it on??"
I suppose they think it's enjoyable to the consumers... but to be honest it's actually just irritating and tiring.

This photo's like the times when people would tune in onto the "staticy" PPV channels only to catch a glimpse of a scene from some porno. "Ohh, is that a nipple I saw?"

At this point does anyone really care about this game?

Johnny C: Is there an original recording somewhere?

I'm pretty sure this is all about George Brussard thinking he's this big shot who can get away with not spilling any beans about a project the whole world would want to see complete and raping the sales charts.
He must think he can afford pissing people off just so the development remains secret. I for one don't have any other option but to take it all in, and IF it eventually retails, I'll be the first one getting it.
Because DN3D is the best PC game EVER.

Which one was under development longer, Duke Nukem or Too Human?
Hank Cazorp @ Jun 21st 2007 8:49AM
Stop.

#4 has got it right. This routine is so old... "yes, haha, DN:F is still planned..." I'm tired of the single screenshot and speculation... honestly, who cares?
Anam @ Jun 21st 2007 10:28AM
I swear they never intended to make the game. They came up with this great marketing idea of calling it "Forever" and just dragging it on, using it for free publicity whenever they needed it. Brilliant!
I am a huge fan of Advertising 3.0

@Johnny C.
That was so funny. I personally don't care for a lot of foul language, but my goodness that was worth it. Somebody's _mother_ is talking like that and getting all bent out of shape... That's hilarious!
...oh, and about the post: I'm sick of hearing about Duke Nukem. When they actually start posting non-retarded pictures and set a release date, then I *might* become a little bit interested.
Rare Hare @ Jun 21st 2007 2:09PM
And the saddest thing is that I'll probably actually buy this game when it comes out.
Rare Hare @ Jun 21st 2007 2:09PM
Haha wait, that was stupid. I said "when".

By resizing an image, the polygons will get smaller, so it will look more realstic, the graphics prolly suck ;).
