Fanswag: Fanboys Fight for The Darkness

The Darkness, as you may have heard, is fast drawing in upon us. In celebration of this glorious gloom, 2K Games decided to give us 5 copies of the game. The only problem is, they didn't bother to tell us which version. As such, we have decided to collaborate with the heathens over at PS3 Fanboy. We came up with a cordial little contest, and we need your help to settle it. How will you do that? With a good old-fashioned flamewar, of course! All you have to do is:

Finish this sentence: "The 360 version of The Darkness is better than the PS3 version because ... "
Submit your idea to our comments section.

Two winners will be chosen from Xbox 360 Fanboy. Here's the kicker: if Xbox 360 Fanboy receives more entries than PS3 Fanboy, we'll also give away a third copy to another lucky winner. As an added bonus, all winners will receive a prize package from 2K Games including both the game and a special The Darkness comic. We'll accept entries until June 26, 2007, so get cracking. Please note that this giveaway is limited to U.S. residents only, ages 18 and older (it's an M rated game after all). One entry per person.

The 360 version of The Darkness is better than the PS3 version because of developers, developers, developers, developers.

The 360 version of The Darkness is better than the PS3 version because trying to play a shooter with playstation analog sticks is like trying to play golf with a rake ... i'm sure it could be done ... but why would you want to play with inferior/uncomfortable equipment? It would take you more time and with more headache and cramps than its worth. I'd rather play with the original fatboy xbox 1 controller than the SUXAXIS.

because I have the honor of hearing my 360 loading and utilizing the disc while PS3 owners can play in utter silece.

The xbox 360 version is better because for one the graphics will be slightly better than the ps3 just like many comparisons they have made the xbox most of the time comes out on top and in my opinion most importantly is xbox live and how fun and great it will be online compared to whatever you wanna call what ps3 has done with online it has nothing on xbox live plus you have the rumble feature that ps3 wont have so there is 3 great reasons that xbox will own with this wonderful title and platform enough said.

The xbox 360 version is better simply because of achievements, the best looking system and comfy controllers. Finally the programmers over at 2k dont have to deal with programming the 8 cores of hardcore pain in the ass called the Cell cpu.

Jackie's shots will make you quake (rumble), make you smile (Achievements), head-to-head you can actually find soeone to play/chat with (Live) and let's face it you need a console that offers better graphics & lighting to really appreciate something running around in the dark.

... Because its on the 360, its $200 cheaper, DLC and play over xbox live(PSN is just horrible) and the graphics on the 360 pwns the PS3.

Your comments: The 360 version of The Darkness is better than the PS3 version notbecause the 360 is white or because the 360 is a "weaker" machine or360 owners only play gears or halo or the failing rate for 360s ishigh BUT the reason the 360 version of The Darkness is better thanthe PS3 version becuase when we're playing halo 2 or gears of war andsee one of our friends on our friends list playing the Darkness havinga good time and earning achivements we'll ask about it and probably gobuy it ourselves, and after playing some of the story mission we'llplay online with our friends. Then after a few months and we're donewith the game we'll download the extra mission via the Xbox livemarket place and play some more instead of selling it at EB games for$20. Finally when the new Chronicles of Riddick game comes out we'llbuy that too and play the hell out of multiplayer becuase we justlove to jump in and have fun.... (only said that part because theyactually used the play b3yond crap against us....)

cuz it works on my 360 and not on my Co-Workers PS3...

The 360 version of The Darkness is better than the PS3 version because the 360 is much easier to code for (or developers are more used to it, as it's been out longer), seems to have a more powerful GPU according to what some games on both the PS3 and 360 have shown, and also has rumble, which all self-respecting first person shooters need to be fully enjoyable.
