Believe it or not: Zelda in Smash Bros Brawl

We apologize if this news is just a bit too intense for your Monday morning slump, but we thought you'd like to know that the Princess of Hyrule herself, Zelda, is a playable character in Super Smash Bros Brawl. A completely and utterly unexpected twist to be sure, we're just glad to have had the luxury of sitting down upon receiving this news. The virtual high-fives accounted for, it's time for the community to get down to business -- nitpicking.
Where were you when Fox McCloud's nose changed colors from black to brown? You mean you don't remember? Oh, well then you probably won't even realize that Zelda's hair color appears differently by a few shades. More like some missing highlights, but that hasn't stopped a bunch of folks from flying off the handle over it. We expect your petition by the end of the day.

Pretty sure its the same color as in Twilight Princess...Minus the shaders though, so its not as shiny.
Didn't see anyone bitch about that.
This is cool though. Wasn't sure if we were going to see her again or not. I wonder if Marth and/or Roy are coming back, or any other FE characters.

Speaking of character changes, they need to change Fox back to his 64/Assault days. The Command model of Fox looks horrible, and loses a lot of the "Feral" attitude I'd expect from a battle-hardened Fox McCloud. It's too kiddy for me.

I think Nintendo should stop fucking around and release some characters for christ sake! I'm sick of this shit where they release "new" stuff, when in all honesty it's just Melee characters with a few more pixels. I'm sure most of you are sick of speculation about who's staying and who's going aswell. Just fucking tell us!

I really like these games, but I don't understand the hyping process. I am interested in tweaks to gameplay, improvements in visuals, and tweaks to characters I use proficiently.
But it seems other people are just so pumped for "who's gonna be in it." OMFG I CAN BE ZELDA. THAT'S ILL!
I am interested in WiiMote control scheme. Additions to gameplay. Graphics. Who's in it. And just to get my hands on it and play it.
People here just care if Sonic will be there or not.

Does this mean Midna is a playable character? Will Ganondorf now be known as Ganon, and will he have that funky sword he had in Twilight Princess? Will he still have that weird hole in his chest?
Will the Postman be a playable character?
As far as the hair color goes, that can change over time, also if she's not running around as sheik outside, but sitting inside her castle, she probably doesn't get as much sun bleaching to her hair.
Will Zelda have her sword? The one she dropped in the one cutscene. I'd love to see a shift to fencing style for her... maybe she'll take the place of Marth as my new fave character.
Also, I have to agree with Samfish, but I'd also be willing to bet the carpet does match the drapes. Guess we'll have to hope for a hot coffee scandal to find out.

I'm wanting to see some more stages too. The seasons on the Yoshi's Island stage were a neat idea, and the Lylat Cruise stage looks pretty sweet, maybe a little distracting with all the stuff going on in the background. Besides what we've seen on the blog and in the trailers, I wonder what the other stages have in store.

I hope she can turn into Sheik, because Sheik is hardcore. And it would be only a dream that Link can turn into a wolf and eat people. Especially Fox. He needs a facelift back to his 64 days.

Sheik is probably gone. The Zelda used in Melee was the N64 Zelda, so Sheik/Zelda. Oh dear! Spoilers!!! But this Zelda is the Twilight Princess Zelda so her transforming into Sheik wouldn't make sense. They probably knew they were going to put the new TP Zelda in, and saw the dilemma of having to remove Sheik because of this...so they made Zero Suit Samus. Samus can switch to Zero Suit in play. Nintendo confirmed this already.
Zero Suit Samus is the new Sheik.
I thought it was obvious.

Nintendo hasn't elaborated on what certain conditions Samus loses her suit or how it's unlocked. Besides you have more important things to worry about as Link has grabbed the Smash Ball.

But, you do have to admit, Zelda looks a lot better than when she was in Melee. I liked her look in Twilight Princess than Ocarina of Time. Then again, that's due to change in hardware, so graphics have improved significantly. The hair color is not bad, especially since I don't mind brunettes. ~.^ They're quite attractive. ;P
Now, to patiently wait for the rest of the Brawlers cast to be revealed.

Let me clear something up for some of you. The only characters confirmed to be in brawl thus far are those listed on the official website and those shown in the trailers. They have said that some characters from melee will not reappear, so at this point anyone who has not been announced yet can still be in or out of the game.
As for this whole color change thing, I like it. I don't know why people would be angry about it. I think it looks better.
@ 15. You can tell what color some one's carpet is based on their natural eyebrow color. Those hairs are the same as the ones down below.
