A trailer for the film adaptation of Hitman will be shown in the previews preceding Live Free or Die Hard, opening this Wednesday, according to reputable film site ComingSoon.net. The movie, starring Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47, began filming on March 27.
No official confirmation has been made from distributor Twentieth Century Fox, but the action-packed Bruce Willis vehicle would be a perfect fit for the trailer and is also distributed by Fox. If true, look for the teaser to find its way on the internet likely by Wednesday afternoon.

It would kick ass if RockStar and everybody involved in making the Hitman movie collaborated and decided to make the content in the movie just as offensive as (and decidedly similar to) the content in the game to see if the movie would get an NC-17 rating. Of course, that won't happen, but that would be awesome anyway.

Speaking of ratings, anyone know what Hitman will be rated? I would be surprised if it is Rated R. It will probably be rated PG-13 and, much like Live Free or Die Hard, it will probably suck.

this isnt a rumor, its true. im a projectionist at a movie theatre and we recieved prints of die hard today, and enclosed were trailers for "the hitman". yes for some reason theres a "the" on the label, though im sure the actual title doesnt have it, companies screw up trailer labels all the time.

Timothy Olyphant also plays the bad guy in Live Free Or Die Hard.
The "synergies" are downright sickening!

I'm a big fan of Timothy Olyphant after his performances in Deadwood and The Girl Next Door. Despite being quite fit, he looks a little scrawny to be 47... but this guy can look quite fearsome when beating somebody near to death in Deadwood as Seth Bullock. Color me interested.

Frankly most casting sucks on any and every comic/game movie, I am far far more interested if they can not rape the film adaptation, Silent hill was half right if the dialog/plot was better it and the near perfect setting would have been awesome, still one of the best game movies to date.
