Bourne Conspiracy coming to Xbox 360, PS3

High Moon Studios (which you may remember from Darkwatch) and Sierra Entertainment are doing their best Tom Clancy impersonation, bringing Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne character to the 360 and PS3. But in a refreshing twist, The Bourne Conspiracy goes the Riddick route, eschewing rushing a game out to match a film release and instead aiming for summer 2008.

Plot description in the press release makes TBC seem like a prequel of sorts, letting players control the amnesia-prone super agent in his early days. Gameplay details on the game, described as a "third-person espionage action game" are scarce, but more will apparently be revealed at E3 and in the August issue of the Official Xbox Magazine.

Is it the one from the rumour about Microsoft paid the studio to make a Jason Bourne game?

I'm a big fan of the Bourne series so I'm in. I just hope that it's not a duplicate of SC: Conviction.

I'm a huge fan of the books and movies, but PS3/Xbox360 only is lame. I don't want to buy either of those consoles :/

I don't want a rushed Bourne game. I've read the books and seen the movies (which hardly coorelate with each other), but I really like this series, and I'd prefer to not have it maligned with a bad game.

Well, here's hoping that something good comes of it.

Actually SC mentioned being "more like Bourne", so if anyone is copying anyone...

I was actually in a focus group for this game in LA. The trailer made the game look like crap and they are trying to make Robert Ludlam into a brand exactly like Tom Clancy.

Also the character in the game looks nothing like Matt Damon. Don't know if it's a good thing or not.

Well, David, it all depends on what you consider a next-gen game to be. This has been discussed to death. How 'bout we just give it a rest, hmm?

I haven't seen the Bourne movies, but I do like Matt Damon. He was great in GWH.

Yawn! Sounds like a game that has been done a million times already ala any Tom Clancy game.. Plus it's going to be multi-platform shite. I need more games that are build specific for a platform whether it's a 360 or PS3 exclusive.. So far I'm not feeling this game at all..

@#1 - No, if this is coming out for the PS3 then I'm sure MS didn't pay to have this game made. Rumor busted! Sounds to me like some third party junk..
