Rainbow Six Vegas expands yet again with Black Edition

Rainbow Six Vegas continues to roll along, picking up new levels like some sort of very specific Katamari. This new infusion of terrorist-thwomping action (just two months after your last hit) is called the Player's Pack Black Edition and will run you 800 points ($10).

For your sawbuck, you'll nab three brand new maps like Red Lotus and Wartown plus a revamped version of Streets. You'll also get an appearance from a very special guest star: PRESIDIO, which the elderly among you may remember from Rainbow Six 3. The content weighs in at 705 MB and is available now.

Good thing cause the PS3 version comes with the red and black map packs. Also, isnt 10 bucks a little high for three maps? Esp when one is just another revamp of a previous map. Oh well.

ACTUALLY ACTUALLY.... you forgot to subtract the $50 for xbox live gold annually and another $100 for the wireless adapter and $15 for rechargeable batteries.. so i guess that means only about a $15 difference, until next year anyways when you have to re-up your live subscription again.

Technically anyone could have paid $100 less for the 20GB PS3 SKU, combine that with the inclusion of the Live! content packs and your total should be adjusted to $80 instead of $200. I could argue for a further $50 reduction to cover Live! costs but the PS3 20GB SKU didn't come with a headset, something much needed for this game online.

Waiting 8 months means little to me. It's not going to make the game experience worse, it's not costing myself more money. Boo-hoo, x360 players got to play it first.

When you break it down the PS3 really isn't as expensive as the trend seems to dictate. But that's one thing you learn about people whilst working with the public, they base almost everything they do, think or say on here-say. That's a bit off topic but half the responses on this site are.

The PS3 is only 7 months old so I don't know how the fuck anybody could have expected the game to have been out 8 months ago. Multiplatform games seem to be coming in at the same time now and future schedules show same time releases so this is a moot point. Funny how xbots conveniently "forgot" the 360 has been out a year longer than PS3.

Also since your getting wifi a blu-ray player and free PSN the extra $200 is just fine in my book.

But since we're on the subject, what kind of rape is the $140 for the first out of warranty repair?

no one forgot the 360's launch date. the very point is that the 360 came out a year before the PS3. as a much better game machine and significantly cheaper. in 2005.

making us wait months to a year longer for inferior, rumbless versions of games and charging us $200 for the privilege is the rape of the decade.

i have a PS3 cc123, it's OK to say bad things about it. it really is. just because i bought one doesn't mean i have to tow the company line. i can also say the 360 has a bad manufacturing rep and has overpriced peripherals (luckily optional). see, that's ok too.

And I've had a 360 since December and as a matter of fact I happen to like it. Have a Wii as well but that's a different matter...

You assumed I hated 360 when I don't. You jump on me when I call $20 for mappacks that the PS3 is getting for free rape (which it is). You can't even admit that the PS3 and 360 are selling the same for their respective periods which is pretty stupid considering the numbers are right there.
