I think it's fair... I mean you have to play them before you can review them. I've never been given the impression that this site gets to play them ahead of time, which is kind of odd actually.

I think the game works. People are bashing it because it's not as complex as, say, FF Tactics, but who says it has to be? For some quick battles without ridiculous amounts of leveling it's rather fun.

Sometimes I think these XBLA titles are judged too much like retail games.

I would have to agree with tony on this one people expect to much from essentially a $10 game, you get what you pay for. I really do this is a fun TBS game andI really enjoy it. I would have to put it at #2 behind small arms of course :p

My only complaint is that the camera should be free-form. I don't understand why it isn't. That one limitation is the reason I Haven't purchased it yet - I found it hard to see the board during some parts of the demo

@3=Tony

U mean Judged too much like real games right?
I think this game sucks. And I'll tell U Y,
Because the chance of Final Fantasy Tactics showing up in the arcade is actually a possability, and probably for the same price. And if its not FFtactics then maybe Vandal Hearts. Either game is a serious improvment over this game 10 fold. If ur gonna make a turn based strat. game then it's gonna be compared to others bottom line. And with this 1, it falls short compared to games that came out a decade ago. U might say "U get what U pay 4" but, I know this, at 1 point I paid 50 bucks for Street Fighter 2, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3,Streets of Rage 2 and FF tactics. Hell I payed 199.99 for Fatal Fury Special when it came out and now Im gonna get it for 10 dollars.When these games show up on the Arcade they cost 10 bucks now and thats whats so cool about it,A great game that was at 1 time the price of a new game right inside my system, no changing cds or cartridges. 10 dollars has more vaule to me in Digital Gamming than 10 bucks out in the real world when a dime can give me classic, almost pricless expierences from these games, and thier playable online to boot. These developers want to release games like Band Of Bugs for the same price as those games? I dont think its worth it. Lower ur standards in the masses and thats whats gonna happen with the arcade.

@ ccc

The problem with comparing this game to the hardcore TBS games is that Band of Bugs never *tries* to be those games. It was NinjaBee's attempt to make TBS games more accessible, more casual friendly, and have more fast paced multiplayer.

As someone that put over 300 hours into Final Fantasy Tactics Advance I can say this, "I enjoy *both* games for totally different reasons!" If I wanted a more hardcore, more robust game I'd play FFTA or the like. If I want a quick strategy fix I'll play Band of Bugs.

And personally, I love the new turn structure because it doesn't drag on forever, especially in multiplayer!

Obviously, this game is not for everyone, but I think that strategy fans and casual players can appreciate it if they don't expect a hardcore TBS game.

And especially if you're willing to shell out $200 for just *one* game, you can see the value of a *new* game at $10, right? Maybe not...

@9=Lunarduality

My point,
If FF Tactics was on Live arcade for 800 points,IF!, would Band Of Bugs deserve to cost the same value? Yes or no. My opinion based on comparing it to ff tatics is no. But it dose fix an itch that is lacking in the arcade at this time I will admit.
