After showing the world that Lumines can be used to unlock homebrew on the Sony PSP's latest firmware upgrade, and thus increasing sales of the classic puzzler 59-fold, the folks at Noobz! have released a v3.50 downgrader that uses the newfound exploit.
All you need is a US or EU version of Lumines (support for the Japanese version coming soon), "sufficient intelligence and english language skills," and a pocket full of dreams.* Also, be advised that by downgrading the PSP, you run the risk of bricking it, rendering the portable nothing more than a paperweight. Instructions and files for download available at the Noobz! website.
* Pocket full of dreams not required but is certainly helpful as part of a well-balanced lifestyle

And it was something more than a paperweight to begin with? Hardly.

God forbid people actually buy the game simply because it's the best game on the system.

Let me spell it out for you:
No good games, and a high price tag.
seems to a theme doesn't it...

I wasn't aware that none of the 15 games I have for PSP were any good.
What am I doing with my life?

I wonder why they don't release the DJ Max Portable games here. Seems very little work to localize it and enough people import it as it is.

@bl13
Likely it's a combination of licensing and the fact that music games tend to do poorly in the states. After all, when I described DJ Max Portable to a couple friends, they all laughed at the concept and told me it sucked. However, since they were forced to play it (aka... We won't play Warhawk until you guys try it), suddenly they were addicted and that smple action forced two to import the game and two more to straight out buy a PSP for it.

PSP has a very respectable Tie Ratio right now and piracy isn't exactly new to the system.

As a Playstation fanboy, I will admit the PS3 deserves its share of hate from you Nintendo and Microsoft ***** but I don't understand with the PSP. I don't get those darn Japanese either for buying the DS way over the PSP.
I love playing Daxter, Locoroco, the two Monster Hunter games, Tekken Dark Resurrection, Legend of Heroes, Tales of Eternia, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Guilty Gear, Both GTA games, etc. The PSP has plenty of excellent games, I have no idea what you crackheads are talking about.
Plus I love playing MP3s, checking my email in a pinch, all the homebrew, playing videos on it, etc.
Sony has really made a hit with the PSP in my opinion, its a shame they did make mistakes with the PS3 but the PSP is excellent, I don't see all of you ***** hating on it.
Looks like putting Blu-Ray in the PS3 was a bad idea after all, made it costly, people don't buy it, people don't make games for it, exclusives get lost to the shoddily built 360, less people buy it because of lack of games, etc. Sigh.
I don't see the deal with Nintendo, their so perfect, sunshiny and all that ****** ****. I enjoyed their NES and SNES and Mario and grew up with them in my childhood but its over now, they sucked after the SNES and thats where the Playstation took over. Nintendo now is crap and their ruining the industry by their crappy Wii and DS. Meow!!!!

I don't buy games for the DS, why the hell would I buy games that only has a fun factor of one week. R4DS help me play with my DS again. Thank you! Still prefer PSP though. But FREE games is a winner for me right now, including the fact that most DS games are only 60MB. Quick Downloads!! Plays Simcity WOOHOO!!
Obviously that first comments are DS fanboys, DS games are boring after a week. None of the games have any depth to it. It just full of "FUN" mini-games; PSP have depth and make it interesting rather than fun. Well that's my opinion. Obviously Nintendo fanboys will disagree say saying all that sales stats and crap, FROM JAPAN when they are NOT even from there HAHAHAHAHA.
