Penny Arcade Expo exhibitor list unleashed
The exhibitor list for this year's Penny Arcade Expo has been made, checked twice, and finalized. While the past exhibitors are all still present (including favorites Pink Godzilla), the major publishers have signed up en masse.
Joining Nintendo and Microsoft this year on the super-sized list of 53 exhibitors are Sony, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Sierra and Konami, among many others. Indie representation will be provided Gamecock, Telltale, and more. Is that the shadow of E3 we see before us? Full list after the break.

JodyAnthony @ Jun 27th 2007 4:25PM
do you think the penny arcade guys had any idea where they would be 5 years ago?
Shalex @ Jun 27th 2007 4:54PM
god Damnit. Why aren't there any good game expos in Chicago... I mean, E3 and CES started in Chicago..
Joe @ Jun 27th 2007 5:01PM
I'm surprised that Games Workshop isn't on there.

They had no idea it would turn into this. I read about how they got to where they are a while ago and it was pretty interesting. The best part is that they are really nice people and treat everyone the same (unless you are a real jerk to them of course). I have talked with people that have met and played with them in person as well as on Live and in WoW and everyone praises how down to earth they are.
If anyone said 5 years ago that a website designed around a comic for video games would grow into what Penny Arcade has today they would have been laughed at. Nobody could predict the success that these guys have acheived. Most people blessed with that level of success would have it go to their heads but these guys keep sharing with others. The Expo they put on for the industry along with their charity events really shows they care about the community.

Nintendo isn't on that list... wtf?
dirge @ Jun 27th 2007 5:16PM
@6 except that it is.
Nintendo of America, right below Namco.
SomeGamerGuy @ Jun 27th 2007 5:24PM
I am suprised Monolith is not on the list. They are local to the area for the event and have Condemned 2 in the works.

samfish @ Jun 27th 2007 5:26PM
Didn't Nintendo just acquire monolith or something?
Mr Khan @ Jun 27th 2007 5:43PM
Nintendo acquired Monolith of Japan (a seperate company, and that isn't its official name)
Think Xenosaga, not FEAR
Skippy @ Jun 27th 2007 5:51PM
That logo makes it look like it's a Christian gaming expo.

Props for the shout-out to Pinky G - http://pinkgodzillagames.com - the little store that could!

To further clarify (or confuse):
Namco Bandai sold the majority shares of Monolith Soft (makers of Xenosaga) to Nintendo but still has a 16% stake in the company and lists it as one of their partners:

Monolith Productions (makers of F.E.A.R. and Condemned for the PC and 360) was acquired by Warner Bros. Entertainment in 2004 and is based in Kirkland, WA.
