These two are a Japanese comedy duo called "The Touch", hence the connection with the DS. They are also twins, hence their appearance in a commercial for a game that comes with two identical drumstick controllers.

That looks pretty simple. Any chance of some ridiculous drum techniques later in the game? Shame about the lack of an attaching double-bass pedal :-)
