Head for the hills: Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark sequel has been cast
Not to be confused with the upcoming Alone in the Dark game we're anticipating like a Pit cosplayer on Valentine's Day, Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark 2 film has, unfortunately, been cast. Rick Yune (Fast and the Furious, Die Another Day), Lance Hendriksen (Pumpkinhead, Aliens) and Ralf Moeller (Far Cry, Postal, Seed) will star in the film centered around a group of witch hunters tracking down a witch named Elisabeth Dexter. Sounds ... exciting? Alone in the Dark 2 will begin shooting August 6 in LA and New York. Gather your torches and pitchforks.

No.
Please, no. Uwe Boll doesn't make great films. I'd rather see another xXx movie.

Someone needs to kill Uwe Boll, him and Jack Thompson are giving video games a terrible name.

"If she weighs as much as a duck...... she's a witch!"

The only way Boll could make Alone in the Dark 2 a somewhat successfully scary movie is to have 1.5 hours of Tara Reid's franken-nipple on screen.
She doesn't appear to have made the cut. Thus this movie will suck even harder.

What crackhead in Hollywood is still giving Uwe Boll work?
Phranctoast @ Jun 28th 2007 1:27PM

Man you would think that the UN would put sanctions on Germany to pressure them into executing Uwe Boll.

Dear god why?
OTAM @ Jun 28th 2007 2:10PM
Where is the GD financing coming from?!??
Shibathedog @ Jun 28th 2007 2:28PM
Okay, First of all, The first one was actually the first movie in my entire life i've fallen asleep during. And i feel asleep THREE TIMES. What a way to start. It was a terrible terrible movie that got terrible reviews i wish i didn't watch, and it bombed horribly at the box office.
SO WHY WAS A SEQUEL APPROVED!??!
But lets look at the bigger picture. WHY Does he keep getting hired for projects? I can't think of a SINGLE movie he has made that didn't do horribly and was widely hated.
I really don't understand it, You would think if there was a director who has a past of making shitty movies over and over again you wouldn't consider giving him any money to make a movie. But i guess these people in charge of making game movies are just as stupid as Boll.

Uwe Boll = "Oh dear"
JulyFlame @ Jun 28th 2007 3:19PM
Someone kill him already. Seriously.
Matt @ Jun 28th 2007 3:42PM
@14:
They're independent movies. He doesn't need approval, and they're funded by wealthy individuals who are taking advantage of some loophole in German tax laws.
Seriously though, enough is enough. If I'm going to gather my pitchforks and torches, it'll be to skewer Uwe Boll, then burn his twitching corpse.
chenry @ Jun 28th 2007 4:22PM
A sequel?! WHAT!!? Who gave him money for that?!
DrXym @ Jun 28th 2007 5:01PM
Someone explain how the scam works. It's quite obvious that Uwe Boll does not make money from ticket sales on his awful movies. It's also quite obvious that he's paying well known actors an awful lot of money to star what they must absolutely know to be shit. So how is he making the money? I understand there is a tax angle to all this, but what is it?
Spitkicker @ Jun 28th 2007 5:16PM
WTF??? Somebody put him up against Butterbean or something.
James @ Jun 29th 2007 11:32AM
You know one day in maybe 20 years he will be recognized as a great B (more like F) movie director (kinda like Ed Wood). The young generation will be intrigued by him and he will win an honorary acadamy award while all of us sit at home shaking our heads.
