What? You have to pay for maps? That is ridiculous. Man good thing I have XBOX LIVE...oh wait. $6 is not a bad price though. LOL at all the SONY fanboys talking crap about MS 'nickel & diming' Bet ya thought SONY would never do it. What, it is insomniac charging, ok then.

$6 for two maps? That kinda sucks. And no, I don't care if other games do it, regardless of the system. I just object to that price, period.

Unless the maps are incred-awesome. Is there at least a way to preview the maps or play 1-3 games with them before you purchase?

Well, perhaps this will help to quench the "360 nickels you to death with downloads" fanboy BS. And to be honest, you have to judge downloads on a case by case level. If these maps are just textures thrown together into some half-baked levels, it is a ripoff.

If they are well thought out maps that introduce unique strategies and gameplay elements, or at least cater perfectly to specific styles, they are well worth it.

I don't know if people still play this thing, though. In my opinion, R6V is a much better shooter anyways. I know they are different styles, but Insomniac should have gotten this update out before Rainbow dropped. Once you get sucked into online co-op terrorist hunts on Realistic difficulty, Resistance will become a faded memory. Gotta get that D.Eagle.

To the 360 fanboys with comments about costs:

At least I don't pay $50 a year just to have online services for my PS3!!! I do have to with the 360.

Bottom line, I own all 3 consoles and have thoroughly enjoyed many complete games without ever paying for content or map packs, this type of update is in my opinion great for a gamer who only owns and actively plays a small handful of games and who would really enjoy a few more MP maps or similar content for say R6:Vegas or GoW or RFOM but it's not like any of these games witheld content from the original and then later charged you to complete the game...

I think it's cool people have a "choice" to add some content to their favorite games.

Then again, I'm not a sad, broke fanboy looking for something to attack.

Agreed. I think it's cool to have a choice on buying a Hi-Def movie player, and wi-fi. Plus I have a choice to pay for LIVE. You know it far exceeds PSN. What exactly can you play on PSN again? I am certainly not a broke fanboy, I own a premium and just picked up an Elite in June. I could easily purchase a PS3 but see no value in it..yet. Maybe in 2008 it will have something making it worth a purchase. Probably not though. To each their own.

Man, you guys still slam the PS3.
Ok you have a premium, then get the elite. For what? HDMI? That must be the only reason to spend 550 bucks on the same system you already have. And your right, Sony IS forcing you to have that state of the art Blu-ray player, built in wifi, HDMI, FREE online service (Dont you hate it when a company gives you FREE stuff), and all that for just 50 bucks more then that "Elite" that didnt come with any of that.
I purchased my elite after my premium broke, so dont bother calling me a fanboy please.
And for what you can play on PSN, go look it up, I'll give you a quick run down.
Resistance
Motorstorm
Rainbow six
The Darkness
Fear
Calling all cars
Armored core 4
Full auto
Splinter cell
MLB the show
And thats just off the top of my head.
Being a fanyboy doesnt get you anywhere.

@DckPump
Actually it was only just over $500 not $550. Well I bought an Elite because we system link all the time, and a lot of my friends can't afford a system. Not to mention I don't even have an HD-TV (will prob pick one up around christmas)..I have a really nice flatscreen so HDMI as of this moment is useless for me. I wanted more HDD space (down to 55gb) and liked the look of the system. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. Plus I like you picked up an elite while my premium was away for repairs. (I did not want to miss the Halo 3 Beta) I did get it back fixed and now I am the happy owner of two 360's.
How is Blu-Ray free? Matter of fact I could care less about Blu-Ray or HD-DVD for that matter. You know that is one of the reasons the PS3 is so pricey...right? How about wi-fi (which I have no need for nor do I want it)?
Dude, you cannot compare SONY's service to live. It is free for a reason.
You're wrong, being a fanboy gets me the best console system out there.
Resistance? LOL. It's Full Auto 2, we already had the first crappy one on 360 while PS fanboys were waiting for the oft delayed PS3.Finally you guys get Vegas. Seriously, a great game pick it up for PS3 if you don't own it already on 360. Although, apparantely it is still better on 360.
By the way my Elite came with built in HDMI..and the cable! Where did you buy yours at?

lol, $8 for TWO maps? I spent $10 and got 4 maps. That's $2.50 a map instead of $4 per map.

Good list though, too bad not a single one of those interests me.
Vegas, F.E.A.R. & The Darkness are all out on 360 and according to all comparisons are better on 360. Wait, when did you guys get Splinter Cell? Is that the exclusive, wait no that's XBOX I'm thinking of.
