If it's one thing Wii owners want, it's another minigame compilation title, amirite? No, in fact, I am wrong. Dead wrong. Because, like us, we're pretty sure you don't want any more minigame compilations.
The game is to feature "a collection of classic skill games from around the world," including a half-dozen different minigames. These activities are to be comprised of darts, trivia and ... beer pong (looks like it, based on the image above)? Midway will be releasing Game Party come this November.

Aside from the minigame problem I would like to have a trivia game around for the Wii as a part of the party function. That said I would rather it was a channel like everybody votes, that would get new trivia on a regular basis to keep it fresh.

I am excited about this. I have been wanting Skee Ball since I first saw Wii Sports Bowling.

Its not that minigames are bad, its that most that were released are just not good. I would enjoy games like the table hockey or basketball if they feel like their real life couterpart. Raving Rabbids sucked, no substance, too much "shake the remote until your arms hurts" type of games..

Why all the hate for minigames? Some of us actually enjoy minigames. They're pefect for my three-year-old to play with mom and dad. We all enjoy playing as a family.

I think excellent mini-games can be a ton of fun. The problem is that we've not seen that many of them. But Clubhouse Games (on the DS) proves that motion-controlled mini-games that have an elegant, but challenging interface can be rewarding and have a ton of replay value.
I still can't stop playing darts on Clubhouse Games.

I think it's actually the game "quarters" in that picture, not beer pong.
