I'm sorry, but I just can't justify paying 800 points for a solitaire game and then another 150 for each pack of modes.

950 points?

Roughly 12 bucks?

FOR SOLITAIRE? No. Bad Microsoft. For that kind of money, it better give me a happy ending after I'm done playing. And yes, for anyone interested, 12 dollars is the going rate for happy endings at the asian span near my house. So I know a thing or two about value.

This isn't Microsoft's game, nor have they told them to do this.

Beyond which, the PC version is $20.

Maybe it would have sold better if they had named it......Hardwood Solitaire.

I dont care who made what or what it cost on pc this game is not worth 800 points. If it is priced 20 bucks on pc thats what I call sucker pricing. I guarentee there is somewhere on the web I can get this game free.

I actually bought this - as far as solitaire games go it's really quite good, and I have no problem paying 150 points for some new modes.

Although, I did buy the horse armor.

By the way, they're not "modes", they're games. There are a ton of different solitaire games: Soltrio currently offers only a fraction of them. (Solitaire's Journey for the PC had the best collection by far.)

Overall, it's tolerable. Solitaire games really need to be played with mice. They're also great games for keeping statistics: high score, % wins, average win time, fastest win time, etc.

It's pretty much like the rest of the Hardwood offerings: a decent effort, but could have been quite a bit better.

The Game Packs are decent - a couple of recognizable games with several so-so games - but not really worth it unless you're a diehard player, in which case you probably have them for a PC anyway.

I'm just hoping that you can win enough of the extra games to get the "win all classic games" achievement.
