Ultimate Mortal Kombat bloodies up Nintendo DS this November

Nintendo Wi-Fi multiplayer is also supported by the title -- just remember to exchange friend codes before exchanging blows.

MK3 is the worst of the MK series... they're all ho-hum,, but MK3 is the black sheep.
hvnlysoldr @ Jun 28th 2007 11:26AM
I thought MK4 when they went 3D is the black sheep. Oh and the Sub-Zero Mythologies and Jax games.
DrMangal @ Jun 28th 2007 11:29AM
Gee, making fun of friend codes. Welcome to 2005
i'm sure you will be able to fight random battles like many other DS games are doing now.
whosmav @ Jun 28th 2007 11:45AM
awwwwwwwwyeeeeeaaahhhhhh!
Though every single portable kombat has blown I have faith. I've been waiting mad long for this sheeeet!
Kevin @ Jun 28th 2007 11:47AM
UMK3 is definitely not the worst of the MK series. All of the 3D crap are the worst of the MK series.
FrankTheCrank @ Jun 28th 2007 11:48AM
Yeah, who cares? Why is this considered news?
MK2 on DS would be news....or MK1/MK2 combo pack.
But MK3? Meh.
Dale @ Jun 28th 2007 12:05PM
As much as I will buy this, I am still secretly hoping Capcom will crank out a Street Fighter collection that includes online-enabled versions of:
- Super Street Fighter II Turbo: The Ultimate Championship
- Street Fighter Alpha 3
- Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight For The Future
- Street Fighter EX2 Plus Alpha
Or at least a compilation for each SF sub-brand. SF/SFII, SFIII, SFAlpha and SFEX. Yum.
Dave @ Jun 28th 2007 12:08PM
I think this is awesome...there's a huge lack of fighting games for DS, and online will be amazing. I will get this the day it comes out, for sure. But maybe it's because I'm an MK lifer...
CaptNink @ Jun 28th 2007 12:17PM
I think this is great too! I am surprised that a version of Street Fighter has yet to make it to the DS.
Jonathan Tran @ Jun 28th 2007 12:38PM
The second screen should remind you of how to do the ridiculously complicated fatalities
Platy @ Jun 28th 2007 1:02PM
the screen that ilustrates this post makes me think .... there is ANY game that uses the select button to ... you know ... SELECT ? =x
Michael K. @ Jun 28th 2007 1:13PM
This sucks, they should have made a new one instead of a dumb port.
Alex @ Jun 28th 2007 2:02PM
UMK3 is much better then MK3, hence its reason for existing.
naib @ Jun 28th 2007 2:43PM
IMO this is fantastic news. I actually like the dial-a-combos.
Especially if they pull off the WiFi.
Hater3000 @ Jun 28th 2007 2:45PM
If it wasnt because I already have UMK3 in the x360 I would show a little interest in this game after all I'm a die hard MK fan but I dont have a DS also that the trailer just gave me a heacdache.Looks good but this would've been better in the PSP just for the screen size but then again UMK3 Alone like the FF1 solo game for the PSP are just rip off.For the same price you get better games.
Midway Just gave us MK Trilogy with wifi for PSP and DS.
DG @ Jun 28th 2007 2:54PM
Ha! This looks great. Although, I'd rather have MK2 with WiFi and puzzle mode, etc.
Actually, I'd much rather have SFII for DS in some iteration. Please, Capcom, make it happen.
John @ Jun 28th 2007 4:01PM
I agree with #6. 1 and 2 combo pack. UMK3 is meehh
Imadogg99 @ Jun 28th 2007 5:04PM
Holy crap, #10 brings up fatalities...
During the finish him sequence you should do fatalities using the stylus!!! Omg yea! No need to memorize combos, just tap on their head and go up to rip off their spine!!!!
Rubang B @ Jun 28th 2007 5:08PM
Well, considering that the DS is a fully functional SNES controller, this makes perfect sense.
ackmondual @ Jun 28th 2007 8:25PM
2nd screen brings about lots of potential. Character profiles are a good start. Special move lists, combos (!@#$ these get difficult), friendships, animalities, babalities, list kodes (no throwing, etc.). Heck, let's put an overhead view map of the level like with Super Mario 64 DS.
Some Dude @ Jun 29th 2007 9:55AM
This is cool! Will be looking forward to this one.
