Could this Prime Minister hopeful beat you at Halo?

OK, fine, so it's not exactly a six-digit Gamerscore. But do you really want a world leader complaining about a guildie ninja looting his shoulders when he's supposed to be on a plane to the G8 summit? No, of course you don't. We think this is one case where it's OK for someone to remain a newb.

Don't you mean minister or MP? He's not the Prime Minister!
jay @ Jun 29th 2007 12:53PM
Prime Minister hopeful.
lol.
Ezira @ Jun 29th 2007 12:59PM
Lol, Prime minister!
He's an MP. He's the foreign secretary and an MP (Member of Parliament). I used to read his blog when he was secretary of state for environment and I got the feeling he had no clue about what he was talking about.

All important politicians should play violent video games. They need to be able to defend themselves, and as Jack Thompson repeatedly says, violent games are the best way to train yourself to kill.
For that matter, if Manhunt 2 is such a good killing simulator then why aren't we training our troops with it? I'll bet that within a month Osama Bin Laden would be found dead with a Wiimote shoved through his chest.

"Nicknamed 'Brains' by Tony Blair's staff, the thoroughly modern Miliband is being groomed to be a candidate for prime minister."
Yeah...looks like he's a Prime Minister hopeful...or that's what I gathered from the story...correct me if I'm wrong, as I don't actually know anything about the Prime Minister, or how one is appointed Prime Minister...

gordon "even my face is boring" brown is the new PM
Justin McElroy @ Jun 29th 2007 1:19PM
Hopeful guys. As in "potential" PM. Hopeful.
Ashley Allen @ Jun 29th 2007 1:43PM
Yeah, if Gord loses an election this guy will probibly be the person Labour turn to.
But if Gord loses an election then we've got a tory in charge in which cases we're buggered anyway!
samfish @ Jun 29th 2007 2:13PM
I bet he could beat anyone at Halo DS.
DBuck_Eye @ Jun 29th 2007 2:20PM
@ samfish
Us naysayers never did get "owned" about that, did we? No.

Miliband was all set to run for the leadership of the Labour Party a few weeks ago. If he had run and won he would now be our PM. He didn't run because he had a few meetings with ol' Gordy boy our new Lord and Master. Since Miliband is still very young for a politician it looks as though Gordon promised Miliband a big job (he's our new foreign secretary) if he didn't run. Thus Gordon won the 'race' unopposed.
Ahem! pay attention at the back there, given that he wanted to run but got bribed out of it, it's likely he'll stand next time, and given that Gordon bought him out, he clearly had a chance of winning and thus is a potential Prime minister. Ta da!
Incidentally the unelected, tax raising, commie we now have as a leader (Gordon Brown - real name James Brown until he came into politics) will guarantee a return of the Tory Party to power hurrah!.
See politically all zapped up and into games, I'm perfect me. :P An education in British Politics on Joystiq, can't get this anywhere else folks...mmm wonder why..zzzzzz
Dante @ Jun 29th 2007 2:34PM

Jon @ Jun 29th 2007 4:24PM
He may be the first front bencher to have a blog but plenty of backbenchers had blogs for many years now.
colin @ Jun 29th 2007 8:17PM
