Touchdown! EA unloads Madden 08 info
12
Boy oh boy has there been a bunch of Madden 08 news hitting the internet lately and we figured what better way to get you the dish than recapping all of it in one convenient post. Yeah, that kind of logic could only come from the smartest of bloggers. So, let's get right into all the crunchy Madden 08 news and media.
First off, EA released Madden 08's official soundtrack list including tracks from The Hives, Timbaland, Daddy Yankee and Xbox Artist of the Month Ozzy Osbourne. Madden 08 sounds like it's going to be a rocking good time. Also released were screenshots featuring all twenty-four new "weapons" classifications which are used to show players' crazy advanced abilities. It's a brand new way to identify stand out players and a first for the Madden franchise. The third piece of Madden 08 goodness comes in the form of a new trailer that we've embedded above. Give it a watch and you'll agree that stiff arms and side stepping never looked so nice. Finally, the Gamerscore Blog crew posted a few photos and a writeup of EA's little Madden 08 party which was held in LA the other night.
Now, if that's not enough Madden 08 news to keep you satisfied then by golly you're a football addict and need to drink some Gatorade. Go hit the showers and review all the new Madden news, because August 14th will be here soon enough.
[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]

You could have played the same backgound misic for this game that was played for NCAA Football 08 trailer down below and I would not have know the difference! Yawn.....all footballs look the same to me.

We'll just see if it's the same ol' Madden that has an updated roster and new soundtrack. Glad All Pro Football is coming out. Sorry EA, you're gonna need to earn me back as a Madden customer.

But, will it have coop play? The absence of coop play kept this title off of my 07 purchase list. To me and many of my friends, coop play is paramount, more important than live play and certainly more important then having an Ozzy Osborne soundtrack.

I'm excited for All-Pro Football 2K8 as well, but are people convinced that it will really come out on its projected release date of July 16? There is still not much known about a game that is allegedly only three weeks away. I'll drink the Kool-Aid and believe if everyone else will, but it's hard to be confident that this game is on schedule.

I was duped into Madden 07 by the demo (which for some reason had good AI) and then went out and bought that horrid excuse for a football game.
as Matt said before, EA, you're going to have to really earn back your customers...I'm going for All-Pro Football 2k8 this year...at least I know 2k Sports knows how to make a football game the right way the first time!

...And the players still run like they have mailboxes shoved up their asses.
I bet they still control terribly too.
Probably no create a player, no create a team, no halfway decent franchise mode.
Unless they just re-release Madden 2004, this one will suck even harder than 2007, which sucked almost as hard as 2006.

Hey, this is off-topic and from a 360 fanboy, but I just wanted to see what the X3F readers (and trolls) thoughts were on this issue since I haven't seen it here or joystiq:
