Metroid Prime 3 quietly delayed a week, try to remain calm
And they thought nobody would notice! Buried at the bottom of the press release trumpeting The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass' October 1 release date is the following: "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, the third installment of the hit trilogy, launches with motion-sensitive controls exclusively on Wii on Aug. 27."
Those of you with August 20th marked on your Exotic Wildlife of Zebes calendars aren't imagining that release date, Nintendo announced it (along with the release dates for a bunch of other titles) back in May. What has this lesson taught us? First and foremost, don't use indelible marker on your calendars, you should really know better by now. Second, just in case this is a simple typo we've contacted Nintendo for confirmation of the new release date. [Update: and they've confirmed the new release date.]
... stay strong.

Don't get me wrong the WII lack control over the control(no re map options or playing old games with the WIIs controls) add to it lack luster VC system that normal emulation still runs circles around option wise and the last thing wrong with the WII is the motion controls feel tacted on half the time, all in all the system is worth the price but tis no more prefect than the rest.
btw the PS3 is still a over priced media machine and a joke as a game machine.

Also, what the hell is this? I think the best part is where the guy gets smacked in the face with a pokeball.

could they be trying to sell as many as they can right away before people figure out it sucks? I hope not... but it seems that if the game is good enough, people who don't get it the first week would still get it the next...
ok, I no longer make sense to myself, it is with this that I end my comment...

There's more to delays than just development changes.

damnit, it was going to be so convenient, too
Plus, now the street date will be the second day of school (28), making my life that much more frazzled
20th was the perfect day, sigh...

"Screw the 360 altogether generic games, sht talking kiddies on live thats 50 a year then add the fail rate"
The 360 sucks. The games are boring and they tend to focus only on certain genres. In addition to that, there is a disturbing number of older gentlemen in their 50's, on live. Often times, these gentlemen pretend to be children/girls in an attempt to seduce other players for sex.
"lets not forget the BWC they swept under the rug,no thanks the 360 is to much money for they want for it, maybe when the CPU and GPU get in it,live is free and the price of the console is 299 for a preium it will be worth it."
Let us not forget about that Big, Wacky Cat they swept under the rug! It cost too much money! Maybe when it's cheaper to manufacture and that translates to a significant price drop, I will purchase an Xbox 360.

I do not fancy the limitations of the Wii Remote. Additionally, I feel the Virtual Console is for R-tards because you can download all those games for free-FREE- off the internets. Just use The Google. It's the truth!
Swinging back to my complaints about the Wii Remote, I also feel that the controls are hit-and-miss. However, I still am of the opinion that the Wii is of a reasonable value to the average consumer.

The PlayStation3 costs too much money and has no games.

Way to step up to the plate and not give consumers exactly what they want, multiplayer and ONLINE CAPABILITY. I wish I could think that the delay was so that they could add a multiplayer mode, but Nintendo never keeps big news hush-hush.

Please:
Nintendo always keeps the biggest news under raps
And if it weren't Retro Studios developing this, i would say that E3 would surprise us, but i trust Retro to stick to their dislike of Multiplayer Metroid
Unless they get NST on developing it...

Adding online or multiplayer simply for the sake of having it isn't always the best idea. Metroid is designed to be a single player first person adventure game. Not the biggest twitch shooter. Better to not have crappy multiplayer like there was in Prime 2 then to have it.
I don't think it will actually affect sales that much if it doesn't. People will probably be buying it for the adventure part then just the shooting.
