It appears that rather than attempting to appeal the ESRB's AO rating, Rockstar has decided to lose some of the violent content from Manhunt 2. In fact, they've gotten it all the way down to E. In our opinion, the changes seem to be for the better.
We play games about killing dudes all the time. But when was the last time you played a game where, using the Nintendo Wii's innovative motion controller, you held someone down and forced them to take an adorable puppy? Never, that's when. This is the kind of thing we want to play-- creepily-intense-niceness simulators. Put us down for one copy.
... yeah, we know.

I wish you were able to force a guy onto the ground and make him shout 'I'M A HAMSTER' ten times.

I don't want an M version, but I guess I have no choice. But I would seriously pay for a super limited edition box set that had both an AO version and the E version, flowers, puppies, hamsters, and everything.

I was just posting funny pictures. And since when have I whined? Do you mean when I expressed a negative opinion a week ago, or just now when I posted funny pictures?
I'm not seeing any whining above the post break.

Seriously... this would be so awesome... just have randomly cute things in place of totally adult situations...
Like instead of naked women, they wear suits that say happy birthday.
You fire puppies at people, instead of hearing a bang, you hear a cute bark.
I would so love to play a game like that. You could just call the game itself "Rated E"
Everytime an adult situation comes up, like for instance, if you shoot someone in the head, instead of his head exploding, you see a huge poof of confetti and a big emoticon smiley face covers where his head(or lack thereof) would be.
If there's someone trying to slit their wrists, a paintbrush will be overlayed in their hands.
Bazooka's will just be really big dogs...
Just make it so that everything that would make it feel violent or sexual in nature is covered up, but in a way that you totally know what's really going on.
That would be utterly brilliant.

Hey, that's my moniker, and I would never use it to speak such nonsensical profanity.

@JC
Sorry, I wasn't targeting you in particular. This particular post was by far the wittiest comment made on the topic.
When I said whining, I meant this site on the whole. I could be all wet here, but I think I've seen 10 posts in the past two weeks about the subject, and then there's usually 20+ comments following saying something to the effect of "I should be allowed to buy any game I want."
I'm just tired of the general ranting against Nintendo's AO policy. It is what it is, you know?
Anyway, sorry. Your pictures actually amused me. I was just commentng on my general perception.

I want this to be real. I want to play the game if it is like this. I swear it would be a huge seller if it were like this......just plain out sarcastic and patronizing on purpose. Just to show them what's what.
Now...back to snacking....or work...or something....Happy 4th...whoop-deee-dooo!!!

The PS2 version of Alien Hominid (http://www.alienhominid.com/) has a "kid friendly" mode where the blood and guts have been replaced by flowers. It's great. :)

People really overreact and this is really silly. I don't see much difference between 17 and older VS 18 and older.
