@Dannybuoy

you seem to think that adding online multiplayer would make the game a worse experience, no, we anticipated that after being 8 months late to the party they could at least have done something during that time to make the game have a little more replay value then the last ones had.

I like MP but the first one was only about 10 hours long with no multiplayer or any replay value at all. The second was much worse but cushioned the fall with some decent multiplayer, nothing spectacular, but functional.

you can't come in 8 months late with less content then the last game.

And who's to say the game has less content? Would you rather have a half baked multiplayer mode than a single player mode that you can be confident has been worked over to make sure its good?

Anyone who REALLY cares about this (aka those who have played Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime: Echoes) have both realized and expressed the fact that Metroid games were never about the multiplayer, and are still very much worth what you pay for them without Multiplayer.

The rest of you, the ones that don't care but are pretending to so that you can find some bargaining chip against the Wii, are pretty lame for complaining about something that you weren't going to buy in the first place.

Completely acceptable. I pay Metroid to explore a large world and fight giant enemies. I could care less about online.

I like how everyone all of a sudden hates the Wii when they won't come out with one feature that everyone was only hoping for and no one was really expecting. Yes it would have been awesome. But the Wii(nor Metroid Prime 3) does not automatically suck just because Nintendo didn't give you online play for Metroid Prime 3. Everyone seems to be too impatient for online play. Yes it's coming, but it doesn't happen overnight.

I'm shocked as to how many idiots post and try to be smart. Most of them without even knowing it.

Wow, I'm crying my eyes out. Big deal, people. As was said a million times before, Metriod was never about intense multiplayer. And whoever said that us Wii owners should sell our Wiis just to buy some overpriced "next gen" piece of junk, and because of no multiplayer in just one single game, can go screw themselves. Oh yes, I'll be buying this game, most likely opening day. And as I play it, I'll just be thinking about how much more fun, creative, imaginative, and innovative it is than most other FPS's on the market.

the point is moot because as any google search will tell you this...

Corruption’s Coders at Retro Studio’s are determined to take adventage of the Wii’s “always-on” broadband concept, but they havent worked out how yet. If Xbox Live 360’s downloadable updates are anything to go by, you can count on getting at least one bonus level out of it, and Retro is hinting that multiplayer mode might be a downloadable extra for later.
So you get some online and maybe multiplayer
