I'm really looking forward to the drum part of this game.

I've always liked playing Drum Mania way more than Guitar Freaks or Guitar Hero, and it'll be great to rock out with my friends.

i dont know if people actually scroll down here to read comments but i think guitar hero-like games are great. i'm a pretty decent guitar player but getting good at guitar usually takes hours of daily practice to improve on.. as much as i love playing the real guitar with the tracks that i create on ableton live (which rocks), i love guitar hero for its simplicity and the fact that it could be played with people with absolutely no skill in music.. as much as i enjoy music writing/improv, nothing beats hanging out with friends and having a great time, which guitar hero provides readily. that was just my thought on the subject on the practicality of guitar hero in real life. haha. dont take everything so seriously.

@Car2oon
Dude, have you PLAYED Guitar Hero? You DON'T get tired of it, and if you do, you give it to a friend and taunt them while you play it on Hard, and they struggle with the blue button! They way it's meant to be played!

Although the guitars are easy enough to put under a bed or closet, this brings up a good point about the drums, I don't want them near my TV the whole time. It's not like I won't buy it now, but would be nice if they come apart easily, or fold, or something... I would prefer the apparent realistic quality over folding though. Can we have both?

The only problem is going to be finding a friend with a 360 who would buy all the parts.

No love for Wii =/

But still, it looks absolutely amazing. Better yet, it's apparently an old version of the game and peripherals, so who knows what to expect with the final release.

I did find the 'end of song' finishing bonus to be an awesome feature, that's been lacking in games like GH/GF/DM/etc.

Though I'll already have my hands full with GH:80s so I don't know if I'll pick this one up or not.

(and why do we have to have the 'go play a real guitar' arguments? If I wanted to, you know what I would do? I WOULD.)

Hey all you Sim City players, why don't you go run a REAL town...

...no seriously, I think you should. People who play Sim City a lot are probably the most qualified to manage a town's resources, budget, building projects, and so forth.

Looks a hell of a lot more promising than the videos for GH III.

Neversoft: "Oh, well, we have BATTLE MODE!"

Harmonix: "You can play with three of your friends on different instruments on our game."

Neversoft: "Yeah, well..... BATTLE MODE!"

Tbh i just hope you can play all of these modes individually.

I mean lets face it...most of us gamers aren't the most social of types and for me personally, i know it'll be a bit tough to get 3 other friends round to play it.

I'll still buy it though xD

Ok I'm finally convinced that this can blow Guitar Hero 3 out of the water. It definitely costs way too much, but hey, so did Guitar Hero, and this is about 4 times cooler and not 4 times the price. People still go to Best Buy just to play Guitar Hero 2. They will now be playing this game at Best Buys for the rest of eternity, and that along with the media coverage will sell it hard.

looks promising, but there are two things i'm worried about:

1.) I really hope it's not expensive
2.) The drums looks like they have a very steep learning curve.

I started playing the drums last year (I have an electronic kit), but this game looks awesome! I would complain about the lack of cymbals, but if it helps to reduce the price, it's fine by my standards. ^^

You know, I wouldn't like to bleed myself for hyper expensive gadgets, but this game looks fun! To save cash, I'd simply buy the game with drums, and I'd have my buddies buy the peripherals themselves so that we could jam together like a real band (it would also help to incite them into buying the game too, so everyone wins).

I can already play this game. I'm in a real band, we play real shows, and it's way more worth it.

This game is soooooo gonna own. It's not even funny.

I mean sure getting 3 other people to play with is gonna be a bitch for me (I graduated college earlier this year...no more heading to a friends dorm to play games) But it looks and sounds awesome.

I think they floor tom they have is gonna have to be changed slightly cause I can barely see the yellow line that indicates to use it.

@ people bashing Enzo

I agree with most of your points however you are not looking at the people who play guitar hero and actually believe they can play guitar just because of it, and believe me I've seen tones of them.

Guitar Hero actually got me playing the guitar, studying rock history, and basically just obsessing over the thing. I just think these kinds of games serve as great introductions to rock and roll, before you would have never caught me listening to Cream, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, or Def Leppard. These games have me appreciating them all the more (and 'Clapton is God' is no understatement).

But Enzo I can relate, after you've put your heart and soul into an instrument, found some buddies with the same passion as you do and actually manage to LIVE the game, then nothing compares. NOTHING.

Also has me regretting that I wasted FOUR YEARS OF MY LIFE learning to play the damn VIOLIN. :D

32 Kevout: That's just selective hearing.

Did anyone else notice that about half way through, it showed a note where all four drums were hit? Super super hard mode, anyone?
