So, what you're saying is Jacqueline Natla is the English equivalent of Ann Coulter in the remake then, yes?

My bad. I thought I remembered her having an English accent. I guess she's just Ann Coulter, then.

The first Raider was a beast back in the day.

Now its just long in the tooth. Guess they should have stopped at 1...

Hey, I thought you weren't supposed to find out about Natla's monster-ness until the end of the game... those fingers are scary.

The screenshots seem to lack atmosphere. Maybe it's better in game but even the Soul Reaver games managed this which is odd to me. There's something about the textures which are....oh wait a second. This is a PS2 game isn't it? Ok well it looks good for that.

There is a full PC demo if you want to check it out at the official website, it has DEFINITELY not lost any atmosphere. If anyting, it has gained some, since you can actually tell what things are supposed to be now.

Having just played through the first half of the supposedly revolutionary TR: Legend.. it was.. average.

Then gametap accidentally deleted it, and i really couldnt be bothered to download it again to finish it.. even if it was free.

Graphics might have stepped up.. but the point about your mind's eye cuts both ways.. the graphics didn't really FEEL any better than TR1 or 2, and the gameplay didn't feel like it had advanced much either.
(plus the camera was actually MORE annoying than the original!, and always in far too close).

At it's best points it got pretty good.. but it's best points were the bits where it tried (and failed) to be Sands of Time.. and so even the best bits came off as disappointing.

TR1 and TR2 were indeed ahead of their time.. but TR:Legend (and i guess TR:A) truly DO show how little games hve progressed.
