Worms Music and Terrains crawl on Marketplace
9
A bunch of new Worms content hit Marketplace today. First off, outside of the game, there are a themes and gamer pictures for 150 and 100 MS Points, respectively. Inside the game, there is a Music Pack, which is free to download. On the pay side of things, for 150 MS Points a piece, Desert and Manhattan are available for the invertebrate internecion between you and your friends. That all being said, we got one report from X3F reader Tucker that the update broke his game, though no other such scenarios have come in, so be careful out there, San Diego.

Just to clarify, my friend and I both could not get a game going together - it crashed every time we tried to start up the manhattan landscape.

Oh no, first Catan, then Mad Tracks, and now this? MS better give refunds if the new Worms DLC does not work.
I'll be eating hot dogs and drinking beer today, and wont be on Live until later, I will pay for the new landscapes as long as they don't screw up my game...
How many people are having problems?

Saw on Major Nelson's Blog: It's only the Manhattan Content that's causing problems. If you downloaded it, go into your system memory and delete that one map scheme--the rest should work fine then. My Xbox kept freezing 'til I did it, then I was up and playing with the new Desert scheme once I did...

When they release this stuff it makes me feel bad that I bought the game. I have always loved worms but this version is far less featured than the orginal game that came out on PC back in the mid-nineties. I was decently happy with the weapon selection but the ammount of varying levels was crap as was the music. A few extra maps is just about the cost of the whole game. The game should have had about 10 different maps from the beginning as well as different songs, more voices, possibly more weapons, and maybe even a proper level editor or at least bridges and such. Just because the game needed to fit within the memory card limit at the time it was created doesn't mean they should charge us for what didn't fit in the game.
