E3 2006's Wii line in real time
56
As we go ready for E3 2007, to many the Wii is just as elusive as it was back in May of 2006 -- before it was even released. With the festivities (or doldrums) all set to begin next week at Min-E3, it's time to take a little look back at the thing which really stood out at E3 2006: The Wii Line.
From the beginning of every day at last year's E3 until closing that line of Nintendo Wii touching hopefuls snaked and stretched. The people at the back of the line spent half their day just waiting to get their hands on a Wiimote -- then they had to wait in another line once inside the Wii rotunda. So enjoy the video, which we've kept in real time (except for a tiny edit which takes out less than a second) to give the full impact and length of the monstrosity. Just let it wash over you and don't forget to check out the super special ending.

Yes, the mini-games are getting excessive, hence why I don't by anymore games with that type of play.
The mini-games games I have are: Mario Party 8 (best one ever) and Raving Rabbids (fun when I got it on release).
The other games I have that rock are: Zelda, Excite Truck, Wii Sports.
Regret buying: Red Steel and Elebits.
The most played: Excite Truck, Zelda, Mario Party 8 and yes.. Wii Sports.
Planning to buy: Super Paper Mario. I don't see any other game of interest.
Keep in mind I only have time to play games about once a week for about 4 hours, regularly. Sometimes I can't sleep so I play for a few more hours here or there.

If you don't like the Wii motion controls, don't buy it. We'll have our happy little revolution without you.
Pouty PS3 fans annoy me. Just cause no one wants to buy your machine, don't insult the masses who are buying your competitor's.

I would suggest trying Resident Evil 4 unless you just don't like it or already got tired of it on another console. It plays incredibly well on the Wii and is by far the best purchase I've made (even after already beating it on the GameCube).
Is Mario Party 8 really that good? I loved the 2nd and 3rd ones, but became dissappointed after that. It seems like they started having too many games where all you do is press the button fast.

Oh yeah, there I am at 3:27 left to go. Supprisingly enough I was not playing my DS... heh glad I was a member of the press and able to attend, best damn E3 line I ever waited in.

Luckily for me, it didn't take long waiting in line to get inside Nintendo's booth. It was waiting to play the individual games that took hours.
