Square Enix has released the first trailer for its upcoming RPG, Last Remnant. X3F readers will recall that Last Remnant is something of a first for Square Enix, in that it is being simultaneously released in both the U.S. and Japan. Not only that, but it includes two main characters, one designed to appeal to Japanese audience, and another made for western audiences. The trailer showcases some gameplay that looks a bit like Dynasty Warriors and suspiciously similar to Lost Odyssey (created by previous Square Enix employee, Hironobu Sakaguchi).

Just to clarify, it has been confirmed that only the blue-haired guy (forgot the name) is playable, there aren't two playable main characters as previously stated.

i played the demo the other day and it was great(for an rpg), no turn based stuff like final fantasy. It was real time battles, and it reminded me kind of like a dark cloud sort of game, but it was fun. And there were 3 playable characters in battle in the demo, but only the blue haired guy was the one i saw when exploring.

i've looked it up.... last remnant is coming out for both platforms... but yea, i thought it was only coming out for PS3 too.. i stopped following the development of the game. now i've got something else to smile about... i'm gonna run out of money with all these games dropping right in a row in like end of july, through september, and then august :(
