New MGS4 trailer debuting at E3, Sony and Konami keynotes

The Kojima Report podcast -- one of our favorite 'casts by the by -- has confirmed the not terribly surprising news that a new Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer will debut during the Sony and Konami E3 keynotes next week. Since Sony's keynote is chronologically first -- next Wednesday at 2:30pm Pacific -- we'll just count down the minutes until then. About 7-1/2 minutes in, host Ryan Payton starts talking about the "brand-new" trailer which will, for the first time, be available in English.

Of course, Konami also showed off new trailers for Snake's latest adventure at last year's E3 and TGS expos (both conveniently embedded after the break) so we're not entirely shocked. We suppose the lack of a Microsoft conference screening shouldn't come as a surprise either ... but we're still not convinced.

How did I start a Flame War by saying MGS4 is NOT coming to the Microsoft console. I am just repeating using different words what has been said time and time again by Hideo.

It has become apparent to me that there are way to many insecure little girls that wanna cry to mommy everytime someone says something that they do not agree with. Ban him, ban him they say. Why they take this stuff so seriously is beyond my comprehension. Life is to short to get so worked up over a poster in a videogame blog. But hey, what do I know.

Only as retarded as how not having many exclusives doesn’t hurt the sales of the PS3.

Because the few games it does have, suck or are ported over to other consoles, Why get a console that doesn’t have exclusive games, when I can get a console that does, and the games PS3 has?

God I want to like the series again..I do. But snake looks corny as hell with that eyepatch and headband. Oh well so long as they keep the realism..you know..hiding in a box...moving while hidden in a box...running around naked. then it will be cool...wait maybe not.

There has never been an exclusive MGS game for the Xbox, they did release MGS2: Substance for the Xbox (had flaws), but the PS2 got a better MGS2: Substance with exclusive content. I hope that at E3 Konami ends all rumors of MGS4 going to the xbox 360, and say it very clearly so there's no more discussion about it.
