Partial list, massive E3 2007 lineup
In light of next week's E3 summit, EuroGamer has compiled a list of games that will be at the show. Though already a pretty massive list, you'll notice more than a few "to be announced" spots. We've gone ahead and added a few publicly-confirmed titles we know to be missing from the list, but consider this a primer for what lies ahead in the very near future.Joystiq will be on-hand at this year's E3, giving up sleep for the chance to play every single piece of software with (or without) a title screen. Lineup listed after the break.

Man I can't wait to hear how people play Not Smash Bros.
Fernando Rocker @ Jul 5th 2007 3:26PM
Not Super Smash Bros cause the line will like 1 mile long.

Oh hell yeah...

I bet my ass that Super Smash Bros Brawl will sell a lot more than Halo 3 (and a lot more than any PS3 game)
Go Nintendo!
Cutriss @ Jul 5th 2007 4:18PM
This is a list of games, not a list of playable games. Therefore, there is no reason to claim that SSB Brawl *won't* be there, as it will very likely be there in video form at least.
mccomber @ Jul 5th 2007 3:31PM
"I bet my ass that Super Smash Bros Brawl will sell a lot more than Halo 3 (and a lot more than any PS3 game)"
I'd take that bet, but your wager isn't appealing to me at all.
I may basically be a Sony fanboy, but even I know that Halo3 sales will demolish anything anyone else has to offer this fall.
jman @ Jul 5th 2007 9:23PM
hmm curious to see what lucas arts has...hopefully a wii star wars game...besides lego starwars...

Jonathan Tran @ Jul 5th 2007 4:00PM
best game there is puzzle fighter hd
If you have never played puzzle fighter, you are not a real gamer. It is the greatest 1 on 1 experience ever, with ridiculously fun and addictive graphics, gameplay, and sound. It is refined beyond belief, and HD can only make those beautiful gems look better.
Hatchetforce @ Jul 5th 2007 4:01PM
Where is Battlefield Bad Company?
Jonathan Tran @ Jul 5th 2007 4:02PM
When they announce Sonic is in Brawl, it will not only sell millions of copies, but it will MOVE SYSTEMS. You think it's hard to get a Wii now? Try when every person on earth who was between 5 and 25 during 1992, buys a wii just to settle the score.
BTW you want a flame war? Sonic can beat up Mario.
Nintendo defense force, assemble!

I also think GTA IV will sell more copies than Halo 3. Here are the sales figures for all the previous games in each series:
Halo (Xbox)- 5 million
Halo 2 (Xbox)- 8 million
GTA III (PS2)- 11 million
GTA: Vice City (PS2)- 13 million
GTA: San Andreas (PS2)- 13 million
Plus, Halo 3 will have a user base of around 11.5-12 million (estimated total sales of Xbox 360 when Halo 3 is released). While GTA IV will have a user base of around 16-17 million (the 11.5-12 million or so 360's sold, plus 4.5 or so million PS3 sold).
So what makes you think Halo 3 will sell more copies than GTA IV?
Zsavior @ Jul 5th 2007 4:12PM
Don't know what the first comment means but ok. Ever notice that this E3 hasn't really changed other than "media" that they don't approve of is not there. Same damn E3 showing games that are just hyped to death and never really seen till then. What am I saying, I will be blunt they got rid of any dissenting reviews of the games they show off, that they might see on Joe Schmoe's blog.
Yeah you will get your average nintendo bashing journalist, and your Sony haters, but all in all it will be from an established site from in which fans of either end will not listen to anyway. And the real analysis won't ever come thus ensuring alot of companies get the press they want, rather than what they deserved.
Fernando Rocker @ Jul 5th 2007 4:13PM
@Chaotic
Yes, thats my point... SSBB will move more consoles than Halo 3. Almost every gamer who wants to play Halo, already have a 360, but the Wii still is hard to find, and my guess is that like 80% of Wii owners will buy SSBB. So yes, SSBB will sell more than Halo 3.
Lurker28 @ Jul 5th 2007 4:21PM
Wait, Wait...Where is SPORE!!!!!!
Admiral_Mike @ Jul 5th 2007 4:20PM
There will be a video of ssbb revealing that the master hand has been replaced by..................Reggie. What? You never wondered why you need to enter your name?
kinshadow @ Jul 5th 2007 4:27PM
@22
You are forgetting the consoles' demographics. Most 360 owners want Halo3 and may have bought the console for it. SSBB does not fit the Wii's "everybody" demographic is is really targeted at "drunk" people. The game will probably not apeal to "most" current Wii owners.
Disclaimer: I will be buying both.

I would like to think that Super Smash Brothers Brawl will sell more copies than Halo 3 but to be honest I think it will be VERY close. However I think Brawl has the potential to sell more than Halo 3 because the Wii just came out and people are STILL having trouble buying one (which I find astounding to be honest).
GTA IV will do decently but I don't know if it will reach Brawl or Halo 3 sale levels. This is MY opinion but I don't like the main character for this new one. He just looks wierd to me and it doesn't seem like it will be interesting to find out about his backstory while shooting shit up all over NY. So I'm sorta torn about whether I'll get it for my 360.
alexy @ Jul 5th 2007 4:30PM
@21 Well, Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2 did Poorly in Japan, which is a very big part of the gaming industry, this time around H3 made it to top3 in AmazonJapan placing #2.......
mccomber @ Jul 5th 2007 4:32PM
GTAIV may possibly have higher overall sales, but that would only be combined between the ps3 and 360, and I still somehow doubt it will be able to match what Halo 3 will sell. The fact that the 360 has the highest number of consoles out there, combined with the truthiness that the majority of those who own a 360 probably already own the previous Halo titles and purchased a 360 in part to play Halo 3 on it add up to a ton of people buying Halo3 in the first week.
Mr Khan @ Jul 5th 2007 4:36PM
You can't REALLY compare them, because Halo 2 was selling to a userbase that was 2x what the 360's userbase will be come September, and San Andreas was selling across 2 (eventually) consoles that had about 124 million between them, whereas the PS3 + 360 this fall will total about 16-18 million for GTAIV potential sales this season (less than the total GC userbase by the end of its life) and, despite Brawl not appealing to the hundreds of thousands out buying a Wii NOW (basically for WiiSports and Wii Play) Brawl will appeal to the majority of those GC owners who haven't bought into Wii yet
Its a wise bet to say Halo 3 will beat the other heavy hitters of the Fall, but its not necessarily the "sure" bet that some people make it out to be
Reggie F-A @ Jul 5th 2007 4:45PM

I love how your "facts" in no way lead up to your conclusion, but you state it as if it did. Especially because you operate under the retarded assumption that "everyone who wants to play Halo 3 already owns a 360." Who told you that? Your message board friends?
When the 360 pricedrops this fall/winter, you'll see a shitton of them flying off the shelves, guaranteed. Halo 3 will sell more than the new SSB. Guaranteed.
Davinche @ Jul 5th 2007 4:48PM
How about this...
Halo 3, GTA4 and SSBB will do well, and sell well. All have good ratings and be fan favourites.
And you as a GAMER and not a corprate executive will enjoy them, regardless of who sold more.
Understand?

You hardly make sense. Given the endemic shortage of the Wii, it is highly doubtful that it'll sell as much as you think it would. It can move systems all it wants but if there are no systems to be found, then I guess it'll all be for naught eh?
Malcom @ Jul 5th 2007 4:56PM
I also love how #32 does the same thing he's complaining about others doing.
Please people, don't be a hypocrite when posting on these message boards.
Dark Yoshi @ Jul 5th 2007 5:18PM
Expect SSBB, Halo 3, and GTA4 All to sell in the same number range. I guarantee there will be no winner via landslide here.
All of you people saying that one will destroy the other in sales are just idiots who love their favorite consoles a bit too much.
Magus @ Jul 5th 2007 5:16PM
I bet you Smash Bros. will be at the show -- just not in playable form. My bet is that there will be a new trailer for it.
Zertoss @ Jul 5th 2007 5:19PM
According to VGCharts, Halo 2 sold more than SSBM worldwide. Halo outsold SSB by about the same amount.
It'd be a pretty good bet to say that Halo 3 will outsell SSBB. Of course, the Wii has proven much more popular than the N64 and GC, so SSBB could break the trend. I guess we'll see.
Erik @ Jul 5th 2007 6:24PM
Just because Smash Bros. was said to be not playable at e3, that doesn't mean it won't show at all in one way or another. Or am I missing something?
A0 @ Jul 5th 2007 6:48PM
Here's a good questions how many non-gamers own a Wii right now? Answer a ton and they are fine just playing bowling.
Wii is just like NES with the Mario/Duckhunt bundle because the game included with it will pretty much last non-gamers a decade...
CJ @ Jul 5th 2007 6:52PM
Who the hell cares which will sell more? The money isnt going in to your pockets.
All will do very well. And out of the three, only Halo 3 could be considered a mover. Some people actually held out on getting a 360 until Halo 3 comes out. Since Halo 1 came out, there was a giant jump in new comers when Halo 3 came out. I expect another jump for Halo 3. Partly because of the next gen system and the fact that it is guaranteed to look and play great.
As far as GTA goes, ive played a few but I usually get bored with them after a while. Apparently, though, alot of people like the franchise. I for one dont think its all its hyped up to be. But anyway, GTA will help sell systems for both the PS3 and 360. Possibly more so in the 360s favor due to more content available.
Smash Bros, I cant say I have much knowledge on. I tried it once but couldnt get into it. Seems lame to me. But millions of others think its great. Wii doesnt need a game to help sell consoles, and even if they did, I dont think this game would do that. I am surprised the Wii is still going strong. The graphics are sub par, and most of the games seem lame. The controller looks like itd be fun for a week or so, but I could see getting sick of it after a while.
Bottom line is, we all know all three games will probably fly off the shelves. Who sells the most, who really cares?! It doesnt benefit us, just the big corporations. Just be glad that every once in a while that there are excellent games to actually look forward to and give us an excellent experience.
Hashbrown_Hunter @ Jul 5th 2007 6:54PM
sweet, a F.E.A.R. sequel! I hope it's good!!
