I like some of SE's games but this doesn't interest me.

Did anyone else get a serious "meh?" vibe from this thing?

I'll second the "meh" sentiment. Looks like just another Japanese styled hack 'n slash (not that I don't like the genre, Diablo still rocks).

On another note, didn't SE just state not too long ago that they had no titles in the works for the 360? Am I delusional or was that smoke up Sony fanboy's collective rears?

Im surprised lots of you guys dont welcome the nice visuals.. much needed departure from the cartoonny stuff..

this is like square combining their slick CG into their gamplay..

even though what.. its been less then a year since they licensed the engine, if they have a good story to inject, I think it could be the next FF.. I mean who knows??

Im glad to see it on the b0x though..

The visuals are fairly impressive as Squeenix games tend to be. But the whole gameplay side of things does seem to be pretty blah.

mEh? God I hate fanbois. the game is running realtime with it being 30% of what the engine can do. I for one owning a 360 and highend PC I have no need for a PS3, so this game will be a great FF like fix.

This is gonna be awesome when it hits $30. For $60 I'll pass. Squenix action games are mostly bullshit.

#9-- I'd imagine most of the people saying meh have either a 360 or PS3. Is it impossible to think that the game just isn't appealing to some of us?

The quote was that they had "no Final Fantasy titles" in the works for the 360.

This would be Square's 3rd game for the 360, if my count is correct.

oh well then! let me change my opinion! It does not look boring at all! i mean it cant, because it is using 30% of what the engine can do.

Ummmm... The gameplay is nothing like Dynasty Warriors. This is a turn-based RPG. Also, it's not all going to be huge battles. And while it's a turn-based RPG, there's going to be event buttons like in God of War and Resident Evil while you're in a battle. I think it sounds freaking awesome.

Ummm....meh....

And I was sorta looking forward to this game. Because I know I'm not going to get a ps3 so Final Fantasy is out of the picture and I would like to play a Square Enix RPG all the way thru.

However this game's story seems interesting so I'm gonna give it a few months and see if anything catches my eye.

I'm just wondering how people can judge a game on about 6 seconds of gameplay and 6 seconds of story and 10 seconds of text. lulz

nobody is judging the entire game. They are judging the appearance of the game based on this sole trailer, and to many of us this trailer has not raised our interest in the title.

Uhhh cuz we can AwesomeMachine? Its called free will. I looked at the trailer and it didn't really appeal to me. The fighting screen looks a lil too busy for my tastes and the graphics looked really grainy. Especially for a system like the ps3 and the 360. But I do understand that this is an EARLY version of the game so it won't be sweet perfection.

Anyways the storyline sounds good but the execution looks kinda weak so far.

I am (fucking) disappointed... to have the unreal 3 engine and that's the best they can do in terms of visual. Maybe square is relying too much on the power of its brand these days... just a thought.

Sweet! This game looks awesome!

But, I heard Johnny Yong Bosch AGAIN! How many works is he going to be in?!

Anyway, looking forward to this game and how the battle system turns out. I really don't understand the "meh" attitude in these comments. Did you all have a bad day or something?

By "an RPG for the world" do they mean, "yet another crappy new franchise because we haven't innovated in 10 years"?

So apparantly in order for a squenix game to be interesting it must have something to do with cloud or have some footage of Sephiroth walking through fire.

I'm actually excited for this title and hope it does well. Maybe then Squenix will stop relying on the FF franchise and make new games.

I semi-agree with Ska Oreo. I am also hoping this game does well cuz it looks great in my opinion. And if u guys really want to know y square keeps pumping out fantasies its because every time they try a new franchise people bash it for not being the next Final Fantasy. Most of yall just want the impossible for the company and i believe they have tons of excellent franchises Kingdom Hearts, Mana, Chrono, and the Star Ocean series just to name a few, and this one looks like another winner to me:)!

im excited for this game looks interesting and i hope its not anything like dynasty warriors.

So people are excited about games like Two Worlds and Overlord, which pretty much look like Oblivion but with cheap gameplay, but people are saying "meh" to a completely new action packed game?

Just when I thought I had you people figured out, you go and pull something like this.

The Japanese are the reason we have videogames today you ass. They came in after the crash an took over.

Why don't you go back and play your FPS, you little graphics whore. Since that's the only type games american developers are good at making.

I hate you all BTW.

The graphics are nice but this trailer is too short and uninformative to cause any excitement. I want to know more about the hero beyond "I'm a plucky RPG stereotype" and we need to see this conqueror fellow to know if he's more than "I'm a big bad-ass American stereotype."

No info? No interest...yet...

Looks pretty interesting. I agree it's not "OMFGZ THIS IS GONNA ROCK!!!!" but first trailers generally aren't (not internet released ones, anyway).
