OK, so I respect their faith as I have my own. This game is just not the insult they make it out to be. This location is hundreds of years old and has been seen by millions of people over that time. I think, as an artist, if a game developer wants to include a famous cathedral, statue, landmark or whatever, they should be able to. This bothers me in much the same way as Lockheed going after game developers who model Lockheed aircraft for military games. You shouldn't be able to claim copyright on something that is recognisable or familiar to so many people. If I want to put a VW beetle or Coca-Cola can in my game to make it more resemble the world I really live in, I should be able to without asking permission or paying anyone. Someday, someone will probably own rights to the moon's likeness and forbid anyone from photographing it without authorisation.

How is condemning those for artistic expression which was never intended to be offensive the same thing as condemning the people for condemning them?

Saying you shouldn't condemn the condemners is the same idiot-logic that gave birth to the theory that hating racists is wrong because you're, 'in fact,' being racist against the racists.

Sorry, but no. Everyone is NOT entitled to their own opinions. No one should ever be entitled to the opinion that black people are inferior to whites. No one should ever be entitled to the opinion that in less than 50 years Jesus will ride a cloud down to Earth during the Apacolypse and save the believers, which is why we shouldn't worry about global warming. No one should be entitled to the opinion that "rape" and "incest" are just "buzzwords" for the "pro-abortist agenda."

No one should be entitled to these opinions, and yet they are, because most people are afraid of "condemning the condemners" or are under the belief that "everyone is entitled to their own opinion."

Sorry, but I'd rather be labeled a "hypocrite" by "hating the haters" than to allow the villaneous bastards of the world to treat us as less than human because we're different than them.

I ran out and bought a copy of this as soon as this story broke about a month ago. Im glad I did, its a pretty badass game. I wonder how many other copies they have sold because of this.
