omg I thought this was exclusive to 360 wtf microsoft, how can you call this exclusive now. I hate microsoft because they always bring these so called "exclusive" franchises to pc, and try and make pc more like xbox. WTF is the point of owning a 360 for it's exclusive titles if they are just going to come out for pc anyway.

"Exclusive" means "console exclusive". It's never really applied to PC/console ports. See > Halo 2.

I like the fact that MS(or Epic) brings the good titles to the PC. Less of a reason to need a 360.

MaxMillions, It's a lot more fun on Xbox360 and always will be. Plus, no cheaters. Also, I'm sure the PC version requires Vista.

I'm sure Gears of War II will be announced for Xbox360 at E3 anyway, so no big deal. That picture of the Brumak is probably from GoW2.

Exactly what Matt B said, wtf is the point of owning a 360 now. Greedy M$ always trying to make an extra buck but really it's going to backfire. People are just going to wait for games like Halo 3 to come out for pc then since it's guarenteed it'll happen. No one is going to buy a 360. I really do hope that 360 fails now just to teach microsoft a lesson if you want to sell a system, the keep games that are exclusive, EXCLUSIVE!!! I don't see Sony, or nintendo make there top titles into pc games.

Um... It's called Xfire, and not only that but vista has the crappy things that 360 live has also, so your argument fails.

I'm sure they will offer whatever additions to the PC version to the 360 since it has an easy way to add additional content. Regardless of payint 50 bucks a year! ZING!

360 has got some heft under the hood but c'mon, it isn't THAT powerful. Most PC's within the past couple years should be able to handle it without blowing an O-ring.
Let's also assume that those going for Gears on the PC are proficient enough gamers to know what kind of PC is expected. There should be no surprises in requirements.

Tom, First of all, how is it more fun in one then the other, mouse and keyboard over controller anyone and that is a FACT. NO CHEATERS ON LIVE. Come on that is the biggest bs ever. I have live I should know that their are cheaters, glitches, and host manupilators. EPIC themselves have said that their not showing GOW 2.

I played GoW to death. It's overrated IMO but still a good game.

I suppose it'll be a GfW, vista only release?

Hell, its a better reason to upgrade than Halo 2 or, lordy forbid, shadowrun if it is vista only.

So what kind of new content are we looking at, new levels, enemies, maps, and guns. If this is true then the 360 should be able to download all f this extra content. They also said that there would be no GoW2 trailer at E3 so that pic is probably from the PC.

Zoe K, if I have vaild arguements, though I'm stating my comments. Microsoft can no longer call this game 360 exclusive. This is what I get for believing that 360 might have been a good system. Paying for free stuff on live, paying for LIVE which all it's functionality is free on pc. Screw this I'm going back to PC gaming no reason to buy a 360 every game for it is on PC, at least every good game. Thank god Hour of victory wont come to pc.

Max, just like BNinjaC said... it's a console exclusive. It always will be.

Fact of the matter is this: yes, they want to make money. Most companies do. It's how capitalism works. Don't like it? Either stop using their products or become a thief. Besides, this has been done with both Halo and Halo 2 so far, so you'd have to be a fucking baboon who lives life with his head perpetually up his own ass to have not seen this coming.

Oh, and so we're clear, it's Epic's game, ultimately.

After watching the video on YouTube, it was obvious the game was being played with a controller, and not a mouse and keyboard setup, but it was still probably running on PC, if that's what GameVideos originally posted it as.

The only problem with this PC release is that it's going to be like Halo 2 and Shadowrun with all that Vista-only and GFW Live garbage.

Zoe K, you did not read my comments, because if you did you would have seen that I clearly stated that Halo series goes to pc eventually. It's epic's game well not really Microsoft publish's it if it was Epic's game it would've came out on all systems but in the end it didn't. Yes epic made this game, but in a way microsoft made it a success(advertisments, hype, etc..) Not only that but this is defitinly microsoft's doing. What's with the personal insults can't think of any good points in this argument?

I'm guessing this is GoW2 and not GoW for PC

MaxMillions, your argument fails, because a hella of a lot more people are up for buying a console then going through the troubles (which are pleasures for some) of a gaming PC. The 360 is a lot more user-friendly, it's that simple.

The argument of people stopping to buy games on console to wait for PC also fails, because i'm pretty sure the majority that own a console, own a console because they prefer to play on a console then a PC. Not because they couldn't get that game on PC. Your also forgetting that Microsoft basically owns the PC platform because of Windows.

I understand why people would prefer to to game on PCs, but it's not for eveyone, get used to that. PC snobs. Nearly as bad as console fanboys.

Near the end of the video (1:06) there's an icon that tells to press X to pick up the sniper, which makes me think this is not from the supposed PC version of Gears.

#33,35 - No, that's just what happens when you plug a 360 controller into a Vista game. It recognizes it and has a UI suited for it. Both Halo 2 and Shadowrun already do this.

There were no personal insults to begin with, fapsauce. I've given you one now because you've obviously decided you enjoy that sort of thing.

Look at it this way... the game has been out about eight months now. Of course there are still people buying it on 360, and those sales will continue. Fact of the matter is that the same crowd who'd choose it on PC over 360 has all but bought the game already on console. They're the early adopters who will spring the extra cash for better PC hardware and the latest and greatest games. As a result, Microsoft/Epic have sold millions of units already, and this is a way to potentially sell millions more. I honestly don't see the downside here...

...unless, of course, you're just some whiny fanboy. Are you just some whiny fanboy?

What??!!

I thought Gears for PC was going to basically be a port from the 360. Fighting the Brumak, even though not exciting in the vid, makes me jealous.

I hope it's actually be Gears 2 like what the others right now are speculating.

I believe Overlord uses UE3 also. The PC version of that seems to run fine. It's locked at 30fps, so exactly how fine is a bit of an unknown, but on my 8800GTX I never see it drop below 30fps. Though obviously it doesn't exploit the engine to it's fullest.

I would like to point out something that I none of you seemed to notice from this video...

Whenever a situation comes up where a button press is needed (ie changing guns, curb stomping, chainsawing) the buttons that it shows on the screen are from a 360 gamepad.... For instance when he walks over to curb stomp the guy at the end, it shows the x button for a curb stomp.

Now this COULD be a video from the *unannounced* PC version... Or it could be a HUGE impending content update for the 360 version of Gears... Now considering how epic wanted to put a lot of time and energy into putting updates out for the 360 version, I can't imagine they would have the time to dedicate an entire team to porting gears to the 360, especially considering they are doing UT3 right now as well....

So if i was going to put my money on anything I would say this is probably just a huge content update for the 360 version (perhaps an expansion of sorts?).

@46 The reason why you see A,and X is because there is a game pad plugged into the PC. This is the PC version because it was titled for PC, and an achievement unlocks in the video, and the pop-up is the one on vista.
