As some of you have stated, the real question to ask is how long is MS going to stick around in the console business? They haven't posted a profit yet for their gaming division, and this should worry all the fanboys out there. I just can't see MS continue to eat dirt for much longer, especially if and when Sony and Nintendo even out their stake in marketshare. Too many shareholders are going to demand action on MS's part in order to stop the hemorrhaging. Obviously the 360 will continue pushing forward this generation, but the chances of a third xbox seem less and less likely.

THE THING TO REMEMBER IS MICROSOFT AS STEPED UP AND HAS NOW ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE...I WONDER IF IN 14 MONTHS TIME IF SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENDS TO SONY THEY WILL DO THE SAME....DONT THINK SO.. HAD A NIGHTMARE OF A TIME WITH 3 PS2S AND ONE PSP...AND MY BROTHER IS ON HIS 2ND PS3...

Worrying that this charge is intended to cover ALL manufactured consoled to this date!!! That means, they actually EXPECT them all to fail... Why take a charge for all units if you expect 20% (maximum) to fail???
