New BioShock video appears, narrated by Ken Levine

Every time that a new video from BioShock is released, it does more than just promote the game, it further inflames our desire for the invention of time travel ... and we doubt we're alone. To that end, we'd like to make a bold proposal: That BioShock continue to be delayed until some FPS-crazy inventor creates the technology to leap into the future and snatch it from Ken Levine's hand.

Does this request pain us? Of course it does. Look at that video, you think our heart doesn't ache when we see the player using telekinesis to reposition a tripwire? Do you think we don't cry a little bit when a dude gets frozen and then shattered with a wrench? As hard as it is for us though, perhaps, much like Russia nipping at America's heels in the race to the moon, we need the inspiration of BioShock being at some point in a time that we can not reach to lead us forward to greatness.

I already saw this video like a week ago I just don't remember what website I saw it on so it isn't that new. This game looks so great it just sucks that I can't afford it with all the other good games coming out around then.

The video is new to me. The game looks sweet. At first, I thought some of these gameplay elements they were introducing would end up being gimmicky. Now I think they will rule. Can't wait for this thing.

As great as it looks I can already see that this is one of those games that you'll play only once and never touch again. You'll just admire it there on the shelf. In that sense it's kind of like Ico or Metroid Prime. No sale for me though. Not at $60.

hmmm.. i was really excited for this game but with each new video released i get a bit less excited. I'm hoping this thing turns out alright - the big daddy concept is a god one.

I do enjoy games, but i don't play games that are just eye candy and nothing else. I'm not a graphics whore like most gamers today.

Also, i don't think i'm cool because i only play japanese games. There just better most of the time.

I like the video - it shows a bit as to how different situations can be used. The interactive environment is a definite plus.

The only thing that irks me is the gun animation/graphics - it comes off as very... lackluster in a way. Everything else looks great.

And while paying $30 less on Lions... I actually want that damn figurine of Big Daddy. If the pre-order was for that and $20 cheaper, hell yea, I'd settle for that. If anything, I'm curios as to why its only listed as $40 there....

Even if it is just a "one time play," I'd likely still get it - and hold onto it. Aside from Fusion, I've kept every Metroid game to date; and a game with re-playability that doesn't have some form of multiplayer is typically difficult to find..

If anything, I just hope for a decent amount of gameplay; if it has more than Deus Ex, I'd be content with that, but would love something closer to 20 hours of gameplay.

bm: No multiplayer, no problem! Who wants to play against some other losers on the internet when theres an entire underwater city to explore?!
Irrational didn't do very well with Tribes Vengence so I'm sort of relieved there's no multiplayer.

Pisces: If you think Bioshock is all about graphics, you obviously haven't watched the trailers.
You just don't want it because the Japanese you idolize so much don't like FPS games.
