Reminder: Bungie Day goodies on XBLM tomorrow

Tomorrow is Bungie Day for the Halo 3 developer, as they've celebrated every July 7 in recent memory. Since it will be 2007 (i.e. 7/7/07, or triple 7s), there is some "extra special content" coming to Xbox Live Marketplace, according to the developer's website, in addition to new content on Bungie.net itself.

As to what the goodies will be, exactly, Bungie isn't saying -- "don't get too excited, it's not Halo 3," said the newsbrief. We're predicting gamertag pictures, themes, and the like, of either Halo, Marathon or their long-running joke Pimps at Sea.

Regardless of what the content is, there's only a small window of opportunity, as the mysterious content will only be available from 5:00 am ET until 3:00 am on Sunday.

I mean, while we're at it, why not have CoD4 free? GoW? Dead Rising? Viva Piñata? Can't you just be happy that Bungie is releasing some goodies for the fans?

"cash cow" ... Hardly, a franchise isn't a cash-cow. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is a cash-cow, something which SEGA drags out to do a shitty game with a 2 year development time and label it "SUPA KEWL" and then rake in pure profit from their games. Halo has 2 current titles out and another one inbound later this year, the games have a lot of love and time dedicated to them and are worth every bit of their price tag, hence... They're not a cash cow. And probably never will be as after Halo 3 and Halo Wars, I doubt we'll see another Halo branded game.

oh and forgot to add, so far all I've found for the bungie day content on the UK marketplace is some Halo 3 stuff... Theme and picture pack. Still searching though.

If Bungie won't do a Halo 4, Microsoft will, and it will suck. There's no way in hell Microsoft is going to just let it's big top seller just fade away.
