this game doesn't seem to contain anything from RE2... didn't see any Leon in it. :( looks like it's got RE Nemesis, but that's as far as it gets?

Personally, Resident Evil 2 should be completely remade using the RE4 engine... It'd sell like fire.

1:11 some street shown, thats RE2/3 whenever any streets are shown in that video its RE2 or 3 because in 1 its only Mansion, zero is train, some outside area but mostly another mansion, and 2/3 are all in street or police station or places like that.

Thats a Tyrant not Nemesis, they are very different things.

It looks cool and 2-player sounds like a blast but damn voice work is horrible. THEY CHANGED ALL THE FREAKEN VOICES. ALL OF THEM SO FAR ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN PRIOR GAMES!

yes Resident Evil 2 remade in RE4 engine would be awesome, however they might as well do 3 since both take place in same city most areas and directly connect to one another.

I'm going to be severely angry if RE2 content isn't included. RE2 is my favorite in the series, Leon and Claire are musts. Hell, throw in Hunk and Tofu as hidden characters...

And comtar, I agree with you, but I wonder if remaking the older games into the RE4 engine would make them too easy/easier due to the over the shoulder view. Its somewhat like Twin Snakes on GC. When First Person aim was added like in MGS2, it became much easier to fire on enemies and bosses, making things much easier.

And here I was thinking this game was going to suck balls. Actually looks pretty exciting. Won't come close to RE5, but I'm definitely sold on it.

No, the first person is right. It only shows footage from Zero, 1, and 3 which is called Nemesis. Check your facts before you try to insult other people.

While we saw the Jill from Nemesis, coulda sworn we heard Leon in the next scene, as both 3 and 2 happened at the same time, in the same city. So if you see 2, you're also seeing 3, and vice versa.

Seems that the plot is about Wesker attempting to access files on the Umbrella corporation, stopped by some AI (if it's somehow the one from the RE movie, kill me) which act out as the rail shooters for us.

And this may mean that technically, in this game we're playing as Wesker. Coolio!

Though his voice actor is terrible. Sounds like one of my History teachers.

I am so disappointed that this game is a light gun game. This game earns a painful yawn. Painful because it hurts to think of what could have been.

erm, This looks pretty damned cool, actually. You get to play as Wesker through RE 0,1,2 and 3? Nice. It seems to fit in with the more action oriented RE 4. And it looks pretty panicky when a whole load of zombies are bearing down.

I'm far more optimistic thaneveryone else seems to be. Even if it is 'just' a lightgun style game, it looks like THE GREATEST LIGHTGUN GAME OF ALL TIME.

Oh shi-... A NEW chapter in this game? Sweet... Wonder if RE4 is included in this game somehow, probably not since they re-released RE4 Wii, but would be nice to have a bit of on-railing with RE4 sceneary. Still, hope you don't have to do each game in order and you can choose which story you want to go through... Just think of all the final bosses you'd have to go through. D=

First of all the game DOES include footage from RE2, just because you cant see it in a single trailer doesnt mean its not included. The nintendo power interviews and other sites clearly say it includes re0, 1, 2, and nemesis. Secondly this isnt just a remake (referring the the dejavu jokes) its supposed to tie all of the stories together (even more than they are) and show exactly how wesker was involved in all the incidents (more than the previous games have explained). I'm really excited about this game for both the gameplay and the story.

Also the creators said in interviews that they want it to be about 15 hrs of gameplay, I hope thats true but it seems like an exageration.

I believe by "deja vu," Joystiq was referring to the fact that they'd seen the co-op play in trailers before (related to the recent confirmation that co-op is included).

And by 15 hours of gameplay, could they be including playing through multiple times to take the various different paths through the levels? I'd say so.

I'm very excited for this game. I was never able to keep up with the series. I only played through RE2 long ago and am finally playing through RE4 on the Wii. So if this game could also serve as a summary of the games in the series, that'd be sweet. And I love light gun games.

Looking forward to this game though... always been a fan of resident evil cept for those bastard child games: survior, and gaiden. Read all the books as well they do fill in some blanks and the orginal stories were pretty rad.

As for Wesker from what i know he died in the first RE and according to the books he was pulled from the wreckage by umbrella and fixed him up real good. Since RE4 i dunno who he's working for now.
